2023 Tow Package

LOL very very highly doubt that given Ford doesn’t even plan to source 1/4th of the HD parts needed to build a quarter of the planned inventory for heavy tow.

Having said that Ford has said they are no longer building 2whl dr trucks and SUVS. They all will be awd/4whl dr variants

No longer as in no longer in 2023 or you mean they will not do 2WD on future models?

There's literally zero chance they build only 4x4 trucks and SUV's going forward.

Just announced last month. They will no longer do 2whl drive only full sized suvs and trucks starting sometime this yr. Ford makes tweaks to their assembly line multiple times a yr. When they switch is only a back office known thing. But yes they have already publicly announced they won’t be making 2whl dr trucks and SUVs any more.

I'm in WI, and we literally don't see any 2wd expeditions here. I'm sure there's a few, but sure isn't many.

This trend is expected to carry over to all the F series based models. Has been topics of discussion for a few years now also.

Just my perspective.... I always get the HD town package even on vehicles I won't tow with.

They frequently improve things like
* Bigger radiator or independent transmission cooling. (longevity)
* Heavier duty transmission
* Large oil capacity
* Lower rear ratio (better acceleration & hauling)

The Expy package is expensive since they add trailer brake controls, and other fancy gizmos, but at least there are some upsides.
