New here and was gonna post for help but i fixed my problem as i was typing so this is how i fixed my cool/hot seat not working...

Backstory.. The hot seat would not work on my 2010 expy limited and took all the connectors off to look for a burnt ground but everything looked brand new and no pinns were misaligned.. fast forwards 3-4 years later (today) I wanted to solve the problem so i took the hot/cold module out and tore it apart. Everything was clean/looked brand new even spray DeOx it everywhere and still didnt work. i ran out of ideas and was gonna post on here but then i had an idea and bam it worked!

Problem.. cool and hot seat worked on passenger side... driver side only cool would work and when the hot seat was turned on.. it wouldnt work but the light stayed on for 15-20 seconds then shut off and the cool seat wouldnt work until the car was turned off and back on.

Solution.. I swapped the blower motors from either side (since both seats have the same part numbers.. 9L14-7814D712-B) and that fixed it! And now the passenger side doesnt work. So i need to order a new blower from my findings.

hope this helps others out since i couldnt find a solution online anywhere and if this isnt the right thread location for this just tell me where to post this

I had the same problem and made the switch today. I don't suppose you managed to source a new blower motor for you passenger side? My ford dealer wanted $600 for that little plastic module.

My PN was the same as yours but the dealer told me the new updated part number is 9L1Z-14C724-C

I have the exact same problem with my 2010 (started last night).

Can the blower swap be done with the seats in the car? Is it difficult?

I have a 2023 on order, so I don't want to spend money, but I sure would like the drivers hot seat to work until the end of Winter or when my new truck arrives, whichever is first.

I have the same issue with a 2008 Expy 4x4. Driver side heat not working and lights shut off in 20 seconds or so. Removed passenger seat and checked module and wiring - all looks new. I added the second ground to the adjacent pin that folks with the burnt ground have had (many posts on this issue). Mine was clean and nothing burnt.

I will get to swapping the blower motors and report back.

And, I think it will be difficult to remove blower motors with seat in vehicle. Plan on seat removal - a real PTA.
