Strange prob. Now I know the fan is supposed to run on high on hot days etc, but recently in the last week it's done it in very cold weather.
Not sure whats triggering it but even when running the heat the fan will kick on, and of course it does it with A/C on.

I read where it could be the A/C pressure switch that needs to be swapped?

Check your coolant tank-could be low. My 2016 has a leak at the very common turbo coolant line on the driver's side. When it gets low the loud secondary fan runs all the time.

Yeah thats the first thing i did. It was at the 2nd line on the tank and I filled it up a little past the top line.

Noticed that if the AC or heat is not turned on, it's fine. Only seems to kick on immediately if either is pressed, wasn't like this in the past. Wondering if it needs the A/C charged or if the a/c pressure sensor needs to be replaced.

I watched "The Internets" Youtube video and came away confused. At 15 seconds he says the cooling fans have been running on high however in the comments KCVision asks if replacing the pressure switch solved the problem with fans running on high...to which he replies...he never had the fans running too much???

On Tasca, the Ford part is $65.54. Looks simple to install however it is unclear whether it will solve your problem.

Is it a pressure switch or transducer? If it's just a normal open switch you can see if it's closed, then verify that the ac system pressure isn't actually high enough to close it. Have you had your ac system worked on? Non-condensables will cause crazy high pressure in just a few seconds of compressor runtime.

I had some freon put in last year but no probs until recently when the fan decides to kick on automatically when started.

So with the ac running it’s not cool. I can hear the compressor kicking on but it’s not cool. Obviously a slow leak somewhere. I’m guessing that would cause the fan to run high ?

These cars all have blend doors that both control the source and destination of HVAC but also mix cold and warm air. If it is hot out (80-90) and the AC is on and air is not cold, look for an AC system problem, however if is 60-70 out and you have the AC on, the blend door system is supposed to mix cold and warm air to temper what is coming at you. At least my understanding and how they function in my Gen 3s
