Just picked up my 22 XLT a few weeks ago. I do not see any immediate build quality issues. A few rattles over some bigger bumps, but nothing serious.

However, I am disspointed in a few things like no front parking sensors and no LED lamp around the headlights that I was under the impression it included. I should've bought the Timberline, but oh well.
Front parking sensors on XLT trim come with Special Edition package.

Had a '20 for about 1.5 years and put 25k on it. Only issue was the crappy rear entertainment system short.

Our '22 SPP had the master brake cylinder failure at 5k which was scary at first. Ford took care of it quickly so no complaints there.

It's a rough ride however as this one we didn't get CCD which I do regret. Especially a kick in the nuts since the plan is/was to keep this one for awhile.

22 King Ranch purchased 5 months ago - No issues, great vehicle so far.

Mine did have CCD W/Susp road preview - Didn't know what I was getting with it, but glad it was included. I have no ride issues.

It’s a forum. Very few people come here to praise how amazingly trouble free their vehicles are. Those that are not complaining typically are modified their vehicles.
As to your question, I know 3 people with 2022 expeditions with 4-8 months of ownership, they love them. Two don’t like how “rough” the suspension is but they didn’t get CCD and both have HD tow. One thinks the blue cruise is great when it works, but doesn’t like how limited it is compared to Tesla.
As for issues. I have probably been the most vocal of my group about the crap tires ford put on it and the vibration, I’ve gotten 3 sets in 7 months. The last set is night and day better.

I came on here to comment because I recently bought a 2023 Limited with HD Tow. In fact I ordered the SUV without HD Tow but it was required to be put on after I ordered. The suspension is very rough and my 2 year old in the back seat is getting jostled around quite a bit. The car seat is completely secured and it's shaking so much that the seat is rattling on every surface bump on the road. I'm already having major regrets buying this car.

Last week I took it in to the dealership because a noticed there was a large hood gap on the drivers side. The dealership was able to close the gap a bit, but both sides of the hood are a somewhat noticeable difference. The speaker cover in the front dashboard is warped as well, so they are ordering a new part. It wasn't until after I drove the SUV home and installed the new car seat for my son that I noticed how rough it was in the second and third row. I didn't order the CCD because I didn't like the interior styling of the Stealth Package. I drove a 2022 VW Atlas before this thinking this would be an upgrade, and the ride quality of the Atlas was much better than my Expedition. Am I alone with these issues and what should I do to get them corrected? Could this be the tires and the fact it's on 22 inch wheels? How much more will I need to spend to have a comfortable ride? What tires are you using for comfort?

I don't want to come across as complaining or bashing the car, I'm just dealing with quality issues and I want to be loyal to Ford. I just want some solutions, with the final solution being to take a loss and sell the Expedition. My dealership is being helpful so far and I'm looking for any advice or success others have had here to rectify some issues.

I tried to tell yall, get the truck with ccd, esp if your getting the 22in rims.
My issue was I assumed my fleet dealer included it as he did my previous, even asked him with a "yep " reply but didn't check his work and was left without. Every other option but that.

I sure do miss it, it's a must IMO.

Sadly, the ride might soften up a bit once those shocks start leaking :)

But in all seriousness, I get it, for the cost of these you would think the ride no matter the package was pretty comfortable. I personally miss an air suspension, for me that was by far the best. As for the speaker cover warping, at least it was just that. My dash started warping at around 12k miles and it took 4 days and two attempts to get a new dash that wasn't damaged or warped. I just can't help think about the cars I look at and dream of buying all the time, like a 60's/70's dodge or Jeep truck and most of them don't have warped dashes.

I didn’t get CCD on mine and I have the 304a package with HD tow, so pretty much as “rough” as ford makes it. I would like a smoother ride too, but sadly there aren’t many “fixes” for this. I run Defender LTX M/S tires. They help a bit, but not changing suspension characteristics.
My kids in back notice the firmness, So does my wife when she has been back there.
Loaded with a few hundred lbs of weight, it rides much better. Empty you feel it.
In retrospect, I would have take. @dlcorbett advice and gotten CCD.

I have 15K on my 2022 Timberline and had a 2019 Platinum. The 2022 Timberline may be the best vehicle I have had, and am really very happy with the vehicle. No issues, great power, comfortable, and good fit and finish.
So on your Timberline, is your front center channel speaker cover wavy? Like it has 3 anchor points in really poor places? And the plastic housing around the instrument cluster, gaps in the top right and top left?
