My rear hatch works as expected. My problem is my hatch glass does not open when I press the appropriate button. I've searched the possible fuse faults. I've searched just the hatch. I cannot find any thing on my hatch glass year. Are there any saints that know my problem that could narrow it down for me? I do not want to tear this thing apart with a multimeter and do it the hard way. Any help will be given Internet blown kisses that you will not see or feel.

No noise from the release when pressing the button? Maybe the glass is 'stuck' to the weatherstrip? I know mine has needed a light tug to release a few times, when it gets a bit grimy.

To me if you don't hear the "pop" then my guess is the actuator could be dead. I doubt its a fuse or anything and the real issue is that there are two plastic screws that hold the cover back there to the assembly. If it won't open, it may be hard to get the interior panel off without breaking all the tabs. I just took mine apart last weekend to put some sound deadener in the lift gate and that plastic is pretty flimsy. I broke 3 clips, luckily I ordered replacements ahead of time.

I'm not getting any audible sound when I press the button. I'm really hoping that I won't have to tear that panel off and check it. I just wish I knew what it was tied in to so I can see if it's an actuator problem or something else.

Just went out and tried this for the first time since I got mine. It definitely was stuck to the seal but still made an audible noise when I pushed the release button on the door.

Side note, I found yet another place that all that Moab dirt got into that I need to clean now.

Oh man, I should have taken a picture of it, but when I took the interior panel off the inside of the liftgate, there was obvious places everywhere where water and dirt was dripping down between the plastic and the metal. These things are so poorly sealed, thank god it's aluminum. If this was steel, the amount of rust that would be happening would be insane. There was probably 5-7 areas that looked like a slow trickle of water and dirt... And mind you, that's about 15 months after having the liftglass gasket replaced because I had visible water dripping down the inside of the liftglass any time it rained or when I washed the car. To me, it's no wonder folks are having the freezing issues these days.
