The other day at the car wash I noticed that one of the brushes pealed back the corner of my bumper. I'm hoping I can find something that I can glue or epoxy this closed so it doesn't stick out. I looking for sugesions on a good adhesive to use to keep this pieced closed so it doesn't get ripped off.

I already exhausted trying to get the car wash to pay for a repair and it didn't work and I don't want to make an insurance claim on something this small. IMG_2778.JPGIMG_2779.JPG

Did you obtain the car wash insurance company information, and file a claim with them?

Several years ago a car wash dislodged my mirror glass from my side view mirror by breaking the clips off the back side of the mirror. They claimed it didn't happen there, I didn't see it until I was driving out with the mirror glass hanging out. I went home and used epoxy glue to fasten the mirror glass to the in/out, up/down motor and I never pressed this issue until one of my son's cars was rear-ended in another car wash. That car wash had no problem providing a copy of their video showing the car behind his actually running into him so that he could claim against the other vehicle's insurance. It turns out that almost every automated car wash has video cameras running constantly to record the line. You might go back and try to be a little more insistent in having them prove to you that your vehicle was damaged prior to running through the car wash.

If your efforts fail at the car wash, you might try a PDR guy. They can heat the plastic up enough to reform it without melting the paint. Once it's close they can tack it back in with epoxy or double-stick tape. Won't be perfect, but it'll look better than it does now.

Used boiling water to soften the plastic nothing hotter we know the boiling water is 212°. That's enough to get the plastic soft but not enough to do any damage to anything else you will need two epoxy it in place a good six to eight inches back towards the rear of the car. You will need a clamp and a small block of wood in order to keep it pressed in place while the epoxy cures and maybe a few hours after be sure to do it on a day that is warm enough and that everything is very clean I have this exact problem on my 20/20 Expedition Max and as soon as I get a warm day that is my plan to fix it I consulted a body shop that I use regularly and that is what they recommended replacing the bumper would be $2,000 it wraps all the way around and would need to be painted

if You will not get nothing from washing company and You do not want to spend to much money

1 - home made
if You heat the plastic it will become flexible
then make the right shape and tape it from upside that it will not got out
from inside You can use some temperature glue (from gun)
leave it for 2 H and it should be ok

2 - go to some detailing company - they will fix it
