Recently, our rear passenger doors will not open using the keyless door feature. I can lock the car from the outside but not open. I have to open the driver and then press the unlock door button on the side console. It's the same whether using the master FOB or spare. We made no changes to the car/FOB's. I looked through the OM and did not find any troubleshoot info on this scenario.

Anyone else experienced this "Ford software gremlin"? Anyone know how to fix? Thanks.

I use the keyless entry this way using code on driver door. I have always had to open the passenger doors with inside door console after I’ve opened driver door with the key code. Or are you saying the key fob won’t remotely open the passenger doors ?

Read your ownwers manual.
You can lock and unlock all doors with keypad.
After you get out of vehicle lock all doors by hitting the 7-8 and 9-0 buttons at same time.
You can unlock all doors by putting in the code, then hit 1-2 and 3-4 buttons at the same time (right after putting in the code)

I have had my 2019 FX4 since February of 2019 and have about 24000 miles. A few months ago I started having the same issue. Here's the deal. I am a low milage driver. It I drive the vehicle a significant distance I won't experience the issue for a couple of days. I can open the vehicle using any door. However, if the car is only driven for short runs I soon have to open the vehicle via the driver side door. When I first experienced the problem I had the battery checked at the dealership. They said it was Ok, but if left undriven for a length of time, the vehicle goes into a sort of "battery conserving" mode, shutting down the function to the other doors, causing the issue. The vehicle starts fine, it just won't open using the other three doors. Next year, before cold weather season, I will (hopefully) be proactive and replace the battery when it goes in for (because of so few miles driven) its annual (yes, synthetic) oil change.

On my 2011, entering the correct code unloacks the driver's door. Hitting 3-4 after the correct code unlocks all doors. Hitting 5-6 after the unlock code opens the rear glass (not the rear hatch).

Your battery is low on charge or beginning to fail. The electrical "system" will disable certain power-draining features to conserve battery power. The two I notice most are loss of the rear door touch/unlock function and shorter play time on the radio when you turn ignition off and remain in the vehicle. Good battery will allow radio to operate for ten minutes, or until a door is opened.

I put mine on a trickle charger when these problems arise, but eventually I will have to shell out for a new AGM battery. Currently at four years + on my original battery.

I had the same issue starting in October 2021. I have a 2018 Limited that was purchased in January 2019, build date of October 2018. Also, the interior lights started to go out in a shorter than 10 minute time, that progressed down to where they would only stay on for a little over a minute. I thought it was the battery starting to fail, and had it to the dealer twice hoping they would replace the battery. They did extensive checks and “deep charged“ the battery. This worked for a very short period of time, like a week or two. They covered seven days of rental cars. It would’ve been cheaper for them to just give me a battery, but they insisted the battery was good. I nursed it along until last October, at which point I installed an AGM interstate battery. Problems solved.

Same thing happened to my 2019 XLT. All the intelligent access stopped working except driver door and auto start stop no longer engaged. I bought a new Motorcraft battery on rockauto and everything worked again. Took me like 15 minutes to swap out the new battery myself.

Ditto on the battery. Mine failed to remote start sometimes, intelligent access worked 50% of the time, and finally the vehicle wouldn't start at all even though Ford said my battery was fine.

I also had to change my key fobs battery. I received a warning on the dash to "service fob battery soon" or something like that. Before I got that warning I did notice odd behavior trying to unlock/lock doors.

Once I changed my vehicle/fob batteries all was good...

Was just coming in to post a thread on this. Our Max Limited has started not unlocking via the rear door.
Will have the battery checked.
I have noticed that the auto-stop rarely engages & the status monitor usually says due to vehicle charging.
