Battery, Battery, Battery. Mine did exactly the same thing including the reduced AS-S, replacing the battery fixed it immediately. I actually have several posts about this including my feedback that this is a stupid design. If the half a dozen modules controlling this functionality recognize the battery is dying and it needs to reserve power, then why the heck can't the instrument cluster display a notice about it??? Save everyone the trouble.

Agreed, it can tell you a fob battery is low, but not the primary?
Curious if a new battery will resolve my inop 3rd brake light as well...

It's amazing the symptoms people are seeing that were because of battery voltage. I'm still proving this out (and a more detailed discussion is in another thread - search elsd if interested), but I got 2 eLSD function failure warnings in a 6 day window last month, then Deep Sleep the day after the second warning. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks without an eLSD error popping up. The only change I've made was to trickle charge until I could get the battery diagnosed and replaced under warranty.

Difference is, it's been a very slow progression with no indication of impending battery failure (apart from the Auto S/S battery charging message, if you happen to go to that screen)
On my TV, it just stops working when it needs a battery. It doesn't slowly remove button access as the batteries get weaker.

Update: New AGM battery from Ford put in on Saturday
Seems like everything is working again.
3rd brake light is still out. Still need to figure out how to access the connector & see if a unplug/plug cycle will bring it back.
