I have a 2017 and I did a lot of research, other than a spaceer lift, really your only other option for a decent lift (for the 2017) is the Icon suspension. But it is NOT cheap!!!
I have the Icons in my 2017 and it completely changes the ride.
This is what I have.

I have KYB Strut-Plus assemblies and Michelin LT Defender tires. I 'feel' the road much more than the mushy stock setup. Probably more like an F-150. I am happy!

@Pele You may not care about your GCVWR or tongue weight, just be careful. Highway patrol cares of all your tow specs and will weigh you.

Nice but yeah way out of my budget. After looking at the video on spacers I'm not inclined to go that route either..

I'll check out the KYBs and the Bilstiens - I know the Bilstiens will fit within my budget so I'll compare them to the KYBs. thanks for the info!

It doesn’t. I’m guessing the tow package got the bigger sway bar, but that’s purely a guess. I’ll try to get it uploaded.
Just to update you, my 2017 EL XLT with HD Tow has a 20mm rear bar (edit, 19mm bar).

They don't really.

I've seen people with trailers made out of old bed frames, welded together with a couple of car batteries and a coat hanger as an electrode...
You can literally tow anything in this state and the state troopers won't care.
Don't speed though.
