I'm told that Load Range E tires help control trailer sway when towing.

Stock tire size is 275/55R20.
TireRack.com only has THREE sizes of tire in Load Range E for that size.

I'm partial to the Michelin LTX A/T-2 275/65R20 tires that are on my Excursion (Using 2014 SuperDuty Platinum wheels.)
I can find them all day long at any local tire shop.
They tend to last a long time.
They tend to be quiet on the highway.

I want to put them on my Expedition.

I don't care about ride quality. I'm used to the Excursion with its leaf springs and solid axles. Never had a cavity, so I don't have fillings to rattle out.
I don't care about fuel economy. I'm used to the Excursion with its V10, 4 speed transmission, and my heavy right foot. Anything over 9 MPG will be an improvement.

Though they DO tend to get stuck on wet grass, perhaps a suggestion of a real All Terrain tire would be good.

A load range E CAN improve towing, but more often than not poor towing with an adequately equipped vehicle is due to it being set up wrong, not enough pin weight, etc.

Well I am trying to set up my new Expedition for towing.
I haven't found much in the way of suspension or brake mods...
I bought a Blue Ox sway control hitch and a set of E Load Range tires for it.

I'm used to towing with your regular straight hitch on the Excursion as it doesn't even know a trailer is behind it.

Put 65 psi in the tires, hook up the trailer and visit a scale to make sure your tongue and axle loads are correct. If you still have issues, inquire again. I don't have any issues towing with this setup.

The P275/55R20 Tires I pulled off of my Expedition said 44 PSI max.
65 PSI no es bueno.

I have swapped them out for LT275/65R20 Tires with an 80 PSI max pressure rating.
No rubbing at full steering lock.

She sits about an inch higher.

That's 65 Psi on the "E" tires you upgraded to, as mentioned above. I have Cooper AT3 that are good for 80. I don't need 80 for my loads, as I checked the tire load index.

Do you have any tire rub issues running the taller tires? I was thinking about running this size on our ex with factory wheels but wasn't too sure about rub if there is any. Sweet looking setup tho.

I also have the Cooper AT3's (rated to 80 PSI) on my 08 EB and when I tow I run 65 PSI with a trailer that's 5500 lbs loaded... my suspension is all stock and it tows great... when I don't tow I bring the pressure down to 45 PSI because the ride is so rough at 65 PSI.
