Hey all,
Quick question, as this is becoming more and more of an annoyance for me. More and more often, when I hit certain types of bumps, or even when I do something as simple as drive over the curb pulling into my driveway, i can hear a popping sound that appears to be coming from the moonroof, actually I'm about 90% sure its from the moonroof. Really it seems like anytime the chassis really flexes, i get the popping sound. I keep the moonroof itself well lubricated and cleaned, so i don't think it has anything to do with that. The only other possible thing would be the rack/rails but I can hear it inside the cabin.
I haven't taken it in yet, for this, since now I have a deductible in play, but I was just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience and if they had a fix? I can replicate pretty easily at least. But I'd like to fix it myself and not worry about a dealer, being without a vehicle for who knows how long, and paying a deductible.
Thanks in advance, and I did search for these terms and didn't find any articles that seemed to match my situation.
Thanks!
