My house in Florida is 1160 miles from my NJ house. We just got back Sunday morning. Trip down was in 16 hours (best time ever) and the return was around 18 thanks to a couple of accidents. Four adults and stuff. Nothing on top. we averaged 19.2 mpg. I have the max version so I can go 500 miles between stops and the Blue cruise is awesome. Great truck for gett'n down the road.

We did Houston > Denver & back over Christmas. Non-stop both ways, about 17 hours.
5 people [2 adults, 3 kids] and all the baggage associated. Not a complaint here. Managed mid-20s MPG keeping it around 5-10 over.

I've done this kind of trip many times in our old 09 nav/18 expy as well as 20 cx5 and current cx9. Haven't done the trip yet in our 20 nav. Del/md to tx(satx), 1700 miles in 26 hrs. The cx9 is close, but the expy was by far the most comfy car we done the trip in. Can't wait to take the nav down there when I get back from my deployment.

Got a trip coming up in May from WV to Austin, TX. One of the reasons we bought the Max was for long road trips. 2 adults, 3 kids. The first time I’ve flown I was an adult, road trips were as common as bubble gum growing up. We flew to TX last year, my kids will get the driving experience this year. Though, they did great on the road trip to Disney 3 years ago and I did it in a rented Nissan Armada (I wasn’t taking my studded winter tires off my vehicle just for a trip), we’ll have even more room now.

Tired driving is as bad as DUI.
Agreed. We stop when we’re tired. 18-19 hours is our limit with 2 drivers, but only if we start at 6am and drive until Midnight or 1-am. Any middle-of the night stuff is too tiring for us.

My record for driving is 2140 miles in 51 hrs. Was pulling an empty tow dolly 2/3 of way and a 47 Ford F1 truck the rest.
Only off road time was eating (most important) loading (pulling driveshaft), fuel, reinstalling driveshaft and unloading at delivery location...no sleep at all. Single driver by myself.
