Hello,
2003 Expedition EB w/climate control. Looking for a common link/part/circuit to test that controls both front and rear AC compressors to turn on. Both stopped working at same time. I have an intuition it is the EATC/DATC, though the DATC gets signals for the in-vehicle, ambient, and engine coolant temp sensor which could control. I also cannot get the self test to run.

Does anyone know whether these sensors are utilized only when the Auto button is selected? If I select say floor or vent with AC selected to ON, does it act like a manual setting?

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think what you're asking is a common controller for the front and rear fans ? Because there's only one "compressor" for the entire system. Does the HVAC control head unit light up, like it's getting power ? Now, if you push the button on the HVAC control to turn the AC compressor on, and the LED in the button lights up green, but the actual compressor doesn't kick on with the engine running, then I would check the freon level in the system to ensure it is charged correctly. Do you have a set of AC pressure gauges ? I'll attach the wiring diagrams for the front and rear AC system and you can look it over. Check fuses if nothing is lighting up.

That was the tip I needed. Same compressor front and rear, epiphany moment.
Yes, I have gauges. Control head has power, fans blow, LEDs light up for AC and Dual.
I appreciate the wiring diagrams and the point to the right direction.
