Had my '23 for a month now and apart from a couple of minor quirks loving it.

1. Found that the steering wheel was slightly offset to the right when driving and the dealer adjusted it along with the tracking. Not quite perfect but if you have OCD you'd notice it

2. It wasn't until I had 700+ miles on it that I ran on the interstate only to find that above 60mph I started to feel a shimmy in the steering and through the vehicle itself. I knew about reports that the GG tires were suspect and so it went back to the dealers to be checked.

They put the tires on a road force and found 1 wheel needed a little more balance weight and 1 had weight in the wrong position, nothing wrong with the tires. Re did the tracking and alignment, steering wheel is perfect (see #1) and runs smooth and straight even at 3 digit speeds

3. The pre collision system is over cautious. Will sometimes brake relatively hard if someone pulls out in front of you way down the road if you have cruise on. Never a chance of collision but the system sometimes thinks there is.

Also 3 times pulling into my driveway (I park Infront of another car), it's jammed on the brakes to a stop thinking these going to be a collision! Found 2mph pulling into driveway is the magic number, 3+ will activate the stop

4. Rear lift gate when operated from outside will sometimes only just unlock and move 6 inches and a second button push on the lift gate required to fully open, other times will move fully open on one push. Dealer going to investigate when I can get it in next.

5. No idea how it happens but sometimes if I touch something on the sync screen, I'm thinking the main dial, if I reach for something near the cup holders or charge pad the AC goes to Max blast and Max hot! Don't need that when it's 80°+ outside!! Any thoughts????

Apart from that l love the truck and sure has some get up and go, I especially like the driving characteristic in sport mode. I think you feel the road a lot more than my previous '18 XLT. Other than the above issues money well spent IMHO.

Considering for the most part my driving is short runs getting average of 17.5mpg on the 3.73 gears isn't to bad.

23 Limited, SPP, eLSD, Sync4a, Max tow etc etc.

#1 You have to be careful when thinking the steering wheel is not aligned. Ford aligns it to work on average with all the road camber.
Every road in this country has some sort of camber. If you align it too much with a flat surface such as a driveway then it will be way off on the cambered roads. Country 2 lane roads typically have the most camber. I thought mine was not aligned but then on some roads it is and others its not.

#5 Its easy to hot the MAX defrost button accidentally and everything goes to max. Ford could fix this by making it a double tap.

#3 I set this to warn only. This is a feature for idiots who do not pay attention and are texting, etc. I do not need the car to take control for me. A warning is fine.

#4 Try turning off the auto lift gate in prefs then on again. This seems to fix the issue according to a lot of threads. Also set the height of the lift gate using the button on the back.

I feel like #4 happens if you are standing close to the liftgate when you open it. I wonder if there might be something sensing you are close and it tries to not hit you when opening. It opens fine from the button in the car, or on the remote if I'm not near the liftgate.

I turned of the hands free crap in the sync settings. I was putting a trailer hitch and it kept opening. Def do not like that feature.
Seems its pushing the lazy direction too much.

Thanks for the tips.

The steering wheel was actually adjusted incorrectly from the factory. The dealer showed me the before and after figures and said must have been installed and adjusted by someone cross-eyed!! If you centered the wheel it was like you were about to pass someone on the left, right side was down almost an inch initially.

Don't have the hands free crap on my 23, it was removed.

#4. I have a 2019 Expedition, when it's cold out and there is a lot of exhaust billowing up, if I walk past the liftgate with the fob, it gets very confused. It will open part way then stop, then shut, then open, etc. The exhaust is obviously triggering the sensor in my case. I suspect this is common across all brands since this technology isn't Ford specific.

This wouldn't be the same issue the OP has as they wouldn't have the auto liftgate. It is currently still removed from the 2023 vehicles. I think the issue is a sensor (not a kick sensor) that is picking up an obstruction (person standing there) and stopping the liftgate.

I found that if I short press the outside liftgate button it just unlocks the liftgate and moves 6 inches. But if I short press it, the liftgate works fine. After discovering it, I' can deliberately make it unlock and move 6 inches on the long press.

My lift sensor, on my 2019 Platinum, picks up my movement sometimes, when loading something in the back or cleaning the outside of the vehicle, with the FOB in my pocket. It's shut on me and opened and hit me several times. I need to turn it off.
