I used to drive 1200 miles in 24 hours solo from Michigan to Florida to go to college, back when the speed limit was 55 mph the whole way, and Ohio police would pull you over for going 56. A 20 minute nap in a couple of rest stops and by the time the sun rose, I'd be seeing palm trees. But I was 20 then, not 60. I'm driving from Michigan to Washington state in July. Will be my first long trip with my Expy and looking forward to it.

I had dealer install, despite having extended warranty Ford could not duplicate the problem, so I paid out of pocket for the repair (approximately $340). Service advisor doubted thermostat would fix issue, commented they do not replace many.
My front windshield had a few repaired stone chips. When they were test driving my truck a stone chip cracked windshield. I got a new windshield installed at no cost, considered us even!

My record in the Expedition is just over 1400 miles in 22 hours. Denver to Canton, OH straight through a couple years ago for Christmas. My wife drove a few hours around midnight. Super comfortable ride.

I just replaced my thermostat with the new version from Ford. The engine temp is significantly lower after over an hour drive. The change procedure is easy since you don't have to remove any hoses. Took me around 30 minutes and I refilled with 1 gallon of yellow coolant. You can buy Ford coolant from dealership or Oreilly's.

Drove home yesterday. Left at 6:03am and got home at 12:54a this morning. 1261 miles, 18.4mpg average running 75-80 almost the entire way. Had 3 short stops for fuel and potty breaks. Love the car, it’s a heck of a road trip vehicle!

My kids call it a living room on wheels. We have 2019 XLT with 202a package. I installed 11 inch headrest monitor with HDMI hook up to the PS4 console. I got an inverter for the PS4. Road trips are fun since everyone enjoys the ride.
