So upon purchasing my 2021 Expedition Platinum, I decided there was way too much chrome on it. It's taken me many hours of work and figuring out removing parts or in most cases wrapping with the parts still on but I got it all done. Used carbon fiber style vinyl for most of the trim and black and red of other highlights.

Very cool. Gonna have mine done by a shop, they are going to paint them though. Still can't decide what to do with wheels. Do I get 20 or 22" with great snow tires. Or do I get 18" with 33" tires. Can't make up my mind, both look good.

Can you take a moment and describe in more detail how you did these parts? I started with the trim under the driver's window and stopped when I wasn't getting really great results around the mirror.

Hi, just wanted to ask you how much the shop charged you for the paint of the chrome . Thank you.

Did you end up getting the grill painted? One of the wrap techs said paint over chrome chips easily. How is yours holding up?

Hi there. Sorry for the VERY late reply. I didn't see these comments till just today. Weird. Anyhow, I actually removed the trim. The trim actually unclips using a panel popper after undoing the little screws on the end as you open the door. After that it was fairly easy. I wiped down the trim parts with isopropyl alcohol to clean them. I then use a heat gun on low to warm the parts up a bit, not to warm, so that the vinyl adhears nicely. I used my thumb and a flat soft edged applicator to smooth out the vinyl. Then used the heat gun again on low to fold the edges over. One thing that I will say is the best vinyl to use is the one with air release tech. You get very few air bubbles and any you do get you just press out with your fingers. Just take your time and you will get it. Does take some practice. I've been doing vinyl for years on my own and friends cars. So I have had plenty of experience with it. Hope this helps you.
