Have any of you ever installed an AC bypass pulley in their Gen 3 Exped, specifically, a 2011?

My compressor went out for the 3rd time in 2 years. The first replacement went out while under warranty. This last time, just AFTER the warranty went out. I need to sell the vehicle but want it at least running.

I had just changed the spark plugs a month earlier, and the truck runs like a dream. However, the compressor went out, so I pulled the fuse so it would not come on. Then, the pulley started making noise, and now it locked up. (I assume this is the reason it's locked up. It tries to crank but can't. )

I've been so busy with work, I haven't had time to put a bypass pulley on it. (I don't want to spend the $$$ on it and want to sell it as is.)

I went to a parts place and he says they don't make one for that year. Is that true?

Do i have any other course of action or shall I just get it replaced?

Why not go with a cheap used compressor? If you have a Pull-a-Part near you they are fairly cheap. I wouldn’t recommend that to get the AC working, however since you just want it to keep your belt working it should be fine.

You can buy the Ford compressor and you won't have that issue
