Quick update, dropped it off at the dealer. They made some comment about the Blue Certified warranty not kicking in for 30 days but after telling them I bought it from them 2 weeks ago they took it.

They haven’t touched the transmission yet but gave me a rental. Diagnosed the running board and ventilated seat fan. Both of those motors are being replaced under warranty. Should know more about the transmission next week.

Bought my 2020 Expedition October 30,2022. December 23 took it to Ford for the same troubles that you’re having. Found out this is not the first time, the previous owner had work done in April 2022. my Ford dealer repeated the rebuild or flush out don’t quite understand what they did, but that didn’t fix it. So they called for new transmission. Transmission was backordered with unknown delivery day. They called me a couple days ago and said transmission was in. Dropped it off this morning so they can install the new transmission. I had 28,000 miles when this all started. Don’t know the mileage of when the previous owner had his transmission work done. Wish me luck
Ultimately, I am not upset if that ends up being the case and covered under warranty. Given that I have driven plenty of vehicles well over 200k miles, I’m happy to not foot the bill for major repairs.

Any updates on this? Just purchased a 2019 used with 85k two weeks ago. Starting to notice the clunky slippy shifts at 15-20mph when starting cold.

Yup, dealer did the relearn cycle on the transmission. It didn’t fix it. Dealer is now replacing the valve body but it’s on backorder so it will be several weeks before I know if that resolves the issue.
