Hi all, my 2022 is forcing my headlight switch into Auto mode every time I start it, even when I have turned the lights off manually on my last drive. I am assuming it's intentional as I see a reference to this on page 113 of the owner's manual (.pdf - no paper copy). Has anyone found a workaround? Setting I haven't found in cluster or Sync 4A? I've read that Forscan is still fledgling for 2022 - anyone played with this? Thanks.

Yes. There is no setting to set it by the user. It is a safety thing. Why would you want it off? It turns on the lights automatically when light gets low...seems like a no brainer.

Noticed that same issue. I would always turn it back to off then I changed the daytime running light option to off and now I do not care if its in auto. Actually kind of nice since now my lights come on auto. I just did not want to daytime running lights.

Why would you want DRL's off? They are separate bulbs unlike when it was the headlights at a lower level.

Thanks guys. I get the plusses - it's just annoying to me to have the car override a setting I want. I'll get used to it. Not a huge fan of lights cycling on and off every time I come in and out of the garage, or when I go out to start it after dark to play with some setting or something with no intention of driving, etc., but much less of an issue to me when they are LED's and not HID's.

Honestly, I do believe FORSCAN will eventually be able to turn the Auto ON on startup off.

Thanks @LokiWolf , that will be nice. Hopefully Auto start stop as well someday as I'm not seeing any other solutions for a 22 with 15.5" screen, and guessing volume will be low enough that it may take awhile for companies to develop one. I was thinking I would just go the Autoeliminator ODBII port path, but forgot that they lost compatibility back in 2020.

Yeah, that method was hinky...it was basically making an on the fly coding change. Not a fan of the method. The hardwired method is by far the best.

I love the auto-on feature because it's helping the problem with people that don't put their headlights on at night. Also, the DRL's on all the time when it's on AUTO keeps people from driving around with ONLY the DRL's at night thinking they have their headlights on. There are really stupid people that are allowed to drive cars so they need all the help they can get.
