I know the 2022+ Expeditions have a "partial" glare free setup for the high beams (they progressively get brighter when they turn on when using auto-high beams). But I see that F150 owners with the 502A and 402A packages can use FORScan to enable the full "glare free" experience in their trucks. Wondering if this is possible in our 2022+ Expeditions?

I don’t see how this would work with the expy, they don’t have shutters or other mechanical components built in.
The dimming works very well. But it’s just a reflector setup.

Didn't think the F150's had a much more complex setup than the Expedition, but I guess I was wrong.

I turned the "Auto High Beam" option off in the menu and it goes full bright when you switch from low to high beams. Not sure about enabling full brightness in Auto mode via FORScan though.

It will do that even if you have the auto set to on but only if you turn the high beams on manually from the stalk.

Ford probably didn't build the capacity into the Expy since it mostly sold in the US where adaptive forward lighting system (euro system seen in the video) isn't allowed.

Yes, the US bureaucracy moves very slowly in this regard; this has pros and cons. In this case, a disadvantage. Lighting technology has advanced rapidly over the past decade. This advanced high beam technology is - or would be - an excellent safety feature.

Would Ford have to transition the Expedition to projector based LEDs to effectively implement this tech?

This is part of the reason I'm waiting for the 2024 F150. Hopefully it's a standard feature on the higher trim models instead of needing to be enabled via FORSCAN.

Also, while the 2022-2023 Expeditions are great, I'm going to wait until 2025 to purchase the Expedition. Hopefully they take some of the tech from the 2024 F150 refresh and integrate it into the Expedition.

Our gov't is too busy fighting and arguing over stupid stuff. Wish they would stop all the BS and do right by this country. Oh, a boy can dream.

I didn't think we had this headlight system here. The video even says Ford Europe. I do believe they are working to approve "adaptable" headlights. Also, those headlights on the F250's should be outlawed. I don't know how they are legal. Even the DRL's are blinding, and to come across one at night! It's like the highbeams are on all the time.

I think adaptive driving beam was added in the US reg in 2020 but it's still not equal to the euro system. Govs are slow but it's equally likely the industry is stalling the progress.

In Ford's defense on F250 I've never seen one that wasn't lifted.
