No, I’m very happy with mine so far. There are people with issues.
this forum is loaded with complaints but I believe that to be a very small percentage of actual owners. When people are outraged they talk, when they aren’t they’re quiet

Even with the difficulties we've had, when I bought it there wasn't another option that has the tow rating I needed and the space / seating we wanted. I certainly wish it hadn't gone back to the dealer 5 times in the first year, but it does the job we need it to.

Not sure I'll go back to Ford again after this l, though. The difficulties with the dealership and having to fight for warranty coverage has left a pretty sour taste in my mouth.

The only thing I’d do is get CCD added. I made the mistake thinking it came with the package I bought.

Expeditions are awesome. I'll buy another one. I think they are still a great deal on a full sized SUV and the ecoboost has a lot of power. Plats are very comfortable and 25k less than an escallade.

As much as I loved my Navigators, and as gorgeous as the new ones are, it just feels a bit too pretentious for me right now for 'country living.' Except for no wood trim on the dash and doors and no head-up display, the platinum Expedition is pretty much as luxurious and amenity-filled on the inside as the Navigator (plus it has the 15.5" screen which the Navigator doesn't) but it's more low-key on the outside, sort of like a stealth luxury truck.

And I'd get it without. The ride isn't THAT good and I'd invest the money in something like Icon for it instead. If you have it, you can't cleanly remove it without a bunch of messages on your dash.

Only thing I'd do differently is spend more time considering the Max instead of the standard. I like the shorter vehicle and appreciated the better clearance of the standard while off road, but that extra space sure would come in handy a lot of the time.

If you have a post or link to a better suspension setup. Send it over. This ride is decent but a bit firm for my liking. Once my 3/36 expires I’ll swap the Bilstine 5100, or whatever is best at that time.

I mean, it's pricey, but I'm not sure how much the CCD system costs to add on either, but apparently when those components fail out of warranty they are very expensive to replace. I'd lik to think that a proper aftermarket suspension would do the job better than a design constrained by an accounting department would be.

That said, when I take my father in law for a ride in my Expedition he comments that it feels very smooth compared to his older Tahoe. Maybe it is THAT good, but so far I've not been so impressed with it, and don't like that I can't replace it with anything without much difficulty. I'd really like to ride back and forth with some different options to see how it works out.
