Would be interesting to see how this poll broke out by length of ownership/miles.

My honeymoon lasted until around 30,000 miles or so. Before that I had some issues with trim, the mirror clicking issue, corroded running boards, and some other minor issues. Then the cam phasers came along... and the dealer issues started. Now I'm dealing with a cracked valve cover and literally on the way to the dealer for that issue I had a hard shift from 3 - 4, hopefully that was just a glitch.

I was really happy with the expy for the first couple of years. Great functionality and value for what I needed. And during covid it was great to see Ford stepping up to make ventilators. Then after time the reality of the brand starts to show, particularly longevity and dealer "independence." YMMV

What's interesting in this post and the results of the poll, is that this likely mirrors Ford's own research. It's okay build products a bit sub-par, have dealer issues, "supply chain issues", recalls galore, etc. because the customer sentiment reflects those things don't really matter, at the end of the day. IMHO, it sort demonstrates how consumers have either lost choice, or the feeling that they have any power over the manufacturers. It used to be that consumers would speak by not buying something that wasn't a good buy... Okay, off my soapbox and I know many won't agree here, yippee - constructive debate!
I think it really comes down to the fact that there just isn't a clear better choice. You'll suffer the same woes with any other vehicle that comes close in this category. It's like the manufacturers all got together and decided to lower the bar as a team.

Would buy again but would also like to see fit and finish improve along with a few added features for families. I miss the in door shades and would really like a kids mirror/camera and mic for the driver to yell at the kids.

I wouldn't buy one again, mainly because of the glitchy and laborious technology. Not sure what I would buy instead. I don't need the seating capacity or towing capability, just the cargo volume.

Transmission issue got worse -- and in a dangerous way -- not encouraged by my first Ford.

If Toyota were to make a long wheelbase Sequoia, I think I'd be all over that. But so far, love this truck. Only feature/upgrade that would make it better is adding a Powerboost option.

I’d do it again, im at 21k though. Wish Toyota made something like this that’s is as capable. I like all the features of this one. I just dread some of the common major issues that can happen and there seems to be no real hope once one of them sets in. they did get a ton of ergonomic things correct and there are loads of small things that are handy. The towing is awesome. I like the styling.

Considering that I got mine at $16,500 off of MSRP and most of you guys buying new are paying close to MSRPs (and even over), yes I would buy my rig again. Also knowing that I have had "good luck" with my transmission issues.

I REALLY WANTED THE 2nd gen Raptor when I bought my Expedition. But the pragmatist inside me says it would be quite the waste knowing that I wouldnt be able to take it off road much. My Expy rig is definitely used for soccer dad duties, hauling kids back and forth to school, long highway trips to the beach, etc. And when the occasional log cabin trip we have had about 3-4 times the past 3 years of ownership, my lockers, 4wd low, and other off roading goodies; proved to be more than sufficient.

I have had very little issues with my 2020. Had it in for a hum from back differential that was fixed under warranty. I do have a start up rattle that goes away, that I will be getting looked at again. I am happy with my Expy so far. Fitment and electronic have been good. Engine and trans run well. This is my first Ford. I had a 2001 Tahoe and a 2015 Suburban. Loved my 2001( believe many of the cars from that time were a built better). My 2015 different story, had fitment issues, bubbles in paint, radiator, condenser and firing codes. Dumped it and went to Ford. One of the things that swayed me was the aluminum body, good reliability ratings for gen 3, and new gen 4 design. I thought they did well.
