**Oops, typo in the thread title. Should be "E&G" instead of R.**

Installed this bad boy today.

Got it from Real Truck.

Fit and finish is great; it is well made. One nice detail that I noticed is that with the compartment door all the way in the open position, the vault's door doesn't make contact when opened. It stops just short of it.

Comes with a mat that covers up the bolt heads.

Grade 5 bolts along with regular sized washers and lock washers were included. I had some fender washers sitting around so I used them instead of the regular washers. Also, used blue threadlock on the bolts.

This is the inside label on the rear HVAC controls. The "Scrap if dropped" gave me a chuckle. Just wanted to share...

Nice addition! I have the same console vault in my 2018 Expy and in our 2020 F350. I like that it still gives access to half of the console without having to open the vault.

I have the same one as well. Love it, well made, pretty easy install. I also cut the corner of the factory tray insert so I can still have USB cables come through the bottom and out the wire gap in the lid. I wish it were Biometric but it works very well!

What is it actually bolting to at the bottom? Do you have to create holes or are holes existing?

Looks great, how big of a handgun will fit? Think a fullsize 1911 would fit?

Side question, @KFordEx8 what do you carry in your truck?

You drill holes in the bottom plastic of the console. The safe comes with metal brackets that slide under metal cross members under the console and sandwiches the safe in place.

You can fit more than one handgun, mag, and holster in there, if needed. It’s pretty well sized even for half. The monitor to my rear trailer cam sits in there most of the time.

Not sure I understand the side question. PM me if you want.

Just confirming, prior to purchase, this is the half safe for the F150 (part # EGC-7045-1000-17)? Also, how long did the install take for most of you? Any other input?
