Newbie here, my families first expedition, 3rd eco-boost vehicle. It has the Cam Phaser rattle, it just started. It’s my wife’s car, which in the last year it’s maybe had 8k miles put on it. Current mileage is around 75k. I bought the car with a “bumper to bumper” powertrain extended warranty already on the car from CNA. I took it into the dealership to have the problem diagnosed and they stated CNA won’t cover it as it’s not a part they consider a powertrain part. He submitted it to ford and they won’t offer any assistance as well.

Has anyone experienced this same issue with the 19 and newer on ford not offering assistance and or even an aftermarket company? I know there was a warranty fix up until around January 23, but was told it was only 17/18 model years.

Have you spoken to the actual warranty company, or did you take the dealership's word for it on coverage? I don't see how this isn't powertrain. Someone posted Ford CSP contact info here as well, try reaching out. Basically, raise hell with everyone and don't take no for an answer. That's the only way to get anything done. If that doesn't work, litigation might be the next step. Good luck!

My '19 was covered. I believe I have about 65k at the time (Feb 2022). Fixed. I am now at 97k and no issues. "knock wood".
