Have a 2014 limited and would like to install some radios. Please post with Pics and what you used, if at all possible.
Thank you

I built a mount from some scrap metal I had. It just wedges in on the left, and bolts on the right with the radios mount. The actual radio is mounted in the cavity below the radio. Plenty of room back there.

I am wondering where folks are mounting trunk mount radio bricks in Gen 3 and Gen 4? The cargo area with the moving/floor third seat seems to limit options. I have a big radio, low band Syntor X9000 plus SVR200U.

There is SO MUCH ROOM under the dashboard, you can easily mount that SVR200 under there, but that old Syntor might take some work. Do you have a subwoofer? If not, there's plenty of space behind the covers on that side. I've got my TYT base mounted beside the tunnel on the passenger side, the head is mounted on a GPS mount on the dash. I use a ProClip mount for my APX radio. I'm still trying to finagle some grant money to buy the car dock for that one!

Do you have a picture of yours ? Trying to see how long the plate is and how it fits to the contours of the dash. Appreciate your time and trouble.
I do not at this time. Waiting for it to ship and arrive. Another member told me about it and shared a picture of his mounted. I do not have a dash speaker so mine will look a little different. It's by far the best option I've seen to date though! You can see the other member's picture here: https://www.expeditionforum.com/thr...enerations-dash-tray.41363/page-2#post-491031

I have remote mounted CB (Uniden) and GMRS (Midland) units mounted behind 2nd row with handheld units in center console. Antennas are NMO mounted to roof.

There actually is a small bracket at the very base of the center console. The curved panel comes off and a small radio will fit. I put a Stryker v2 in there. But I had to cut back the chassis. I used a table saw, not a task for the faint of heart.
