I do both. Like in Waze the phone can be used for Incident notification/list. I use it for monitoring things when towing using OBDLink Mx+ and either Forscan mobile or OBDLink's own software.
I'm with you on the Waze but if I'm needing Waze, I bring the best phone holder, the wife and she get's the coffee.

Thanks for your replies. It's actually for mounting a Remote siren control head. There's a bracket on the control head that fits these phone mounts. Looking for the easiest way to mount it.

I just installed the ProClip dash mounts on mine. I got the driver and passenger side both. The only downside to the passenger side mount is the base is canted towards the driver, so when my wife has her phone in it, it's not tilted all of the ways towards her.

67 Designs makes some nice stuff. I went with their 55 Series 300mm rail and 3 20mm track balls. Utilized a couple of Tackform arms and a Rockform quick release phone mount on my side. GF’s side gets a 67 Designs universal holder for her girlie phone case. The center 20mm ball mounts a Haloview rear view monitor for my travel trailer. Not a cheap setup but dang versatile. Did require me removing the “IPad Maxi” nav screen to gain access to mount the rail properly from the underside of the dash. Not nearly as daunting as it sounds once you’re in there.

The Tackform stuff is great. I have it in my raptor and in my expedition.

Have this one in expy

This one in Raptor (phone and tablet mount)

I have also used their stuff in JK Jeeps and other applications. Highly recommend.

This has been the best one I have used so far. Very sturdy and doesn’t block a/c or any other buttons.
