2018 Expy Max with factory RSE installed. Currently no power to the driver headrest unit (blue power light on top is dark, no power, button does nothing even if i hold). The passenger unit has blue power button lit up but won't show anything on the display, holding the button used to make the touch buttons blink red, but I haven't even been able to get that recently. I have checked the power connections below each seat with a plug and unplug. I have disconnected battery for 5 minutes for a reset. I have checked the fuses below each seat on the wiring harness. I tried to remove the screen to check the power connection at the actual monitor but could not get the locking pins to release so I could tilt the monitor out further. I found the entire wiring harness diagram so I think I understand the system, but I am banging my head against a wall, any thoughts? This is the EVO-5 DVD system. Would really love to get the monitor to hinge down the full 90 degrees, but I can't seem to get the pins to release, any tricks for this?

Still no luck? My 2018 passenger side monitor has intermittently worked in the last 20 months that I have owned. Power button has blue light but no picture on screen, no light on touch-buttons. Driver side works as expected. Usually resolves itself before I get fed up enough to tear apart to diagnose. But alas, here we are again and this is a main item on the "honey-do" list.

I have searched through the Expedition service manual but have not been able to find anything of help so far. I have the procedure for front head restraint removal and install. Going to start opening the seat up and looking around underneath for plugs to pull and reconnect or to find loose connections if any. The service manual notes " with video system" but nothing in there regarding the "rear seat entertainment sys" as listed on build sheet. I suspect Ford has no information as this is not their system so they wipe their hands.
