I had a similar problem when the expansion valve went bad. It would blow hot until I turned on the rear air for a minute. Replaced the expansion valve and fixed it.
I had this happen on an '06. The connector on the fuel pump in the tank was black and charred from a loose fitting connector. Had to have fule pump replaced in a shop 200 miles from the house after it totally quit and I got stranded.
I say change the fuel filter. It is often overlooked. A blocked filter will starve the engine at high load but supply enough to run normally when driven gently.
Check the charge level of the AC. Mine was overfilled during a service and did the same thing. Shop vacuumed and refilled with proper amount, operation went back to normal.
The wiper issue is automatic wiper function and normal operation. Ford engineers, in their infinite wisdom, did away with manual intermittent wiper operation if you have automatic wipers. Any of the intermittent settings just turn on automatic. The sensing unit to the right of the rearview...

Watch the first two minutes of this video. After the panel is removed, the switch can be pushed up and out from the back.
I would look at the idle air control valve. The two holes in the valve are on each side of the butterfly in the throttle body and piston regulates air flow during idle when the butterfly is closed. I have had carbon buildup on the piston cause similar symptoms. I just removed it, flushed valve...
I once cracked the resistor of a new plug dropping it into the hole when installing new plugs. Ran for 400 miles and started to have an intermittent misfire. Replaced the coil, still had a misfire. Took it to the local Ford dealer and they had it fixed in about an hour.
I once had a new plug go bad from dropping it down into the head when installing it on #8. Found the cracked resistor eventually after I pulled most of my hair out.
I have been using Hikari LED 12000 LM since March, one week after buying a 2013. Purchased on Amazon for about $35. I adjusted headlight aim after installing and have not been flashed down once. They do not require any adapters.
They are a significant improvement over stock halogen both in...

I ordered on Amazon but had to buy a 40 count case for around $40. You can find single boxes on line, but shipping will kill the price.

The wobble during heavy braking may be worn bearing in a front hub. I put 300K miles on a 2004 Expedition and the hubs needed to be changed every 100k - 175k. Jack up the front. if there is noise / grinding when you spin the wheel or a little side to side play if you grab and shake, replace...
