Have experienced that as well, I think. Usually if I switch to a different audio source, Sirius xm, then I can switch back to CarPlay and it works, occasionally takes two cycles through to get it done.
And now the noise is a bad steering rack, new one should arrive at the dealer on Monday. Appreciate the warranty coverage and assume mine is not a usual experience. This is nuts.
Thanks for the info, hadn’t really considered that. I’m used to having two full sets winter/summer, trying to get as much out of one set of tires and not have to store a set as well. So probably still go with the cross climate.
Talked to service manager, still not fixed but a little better, they’re submitting to ford to replace with a different brand, Pirellis probably, but will be shaking to the other side of South Dakota and back in the meantime.
Liked working with the PR ford folks.
I got mine up in Park Rapids, but live down in the Twin Cities. So working with a different dealer for service. Mine was on a different dealers lot and they traded with that dealer to get it for me.
It does. And only have 2700 miles on the truck.
Can’t make this up, new tire showed up, it also had excessive run out so still waiting on another new one?!?!
And confirmed that one tire had excessive run out, so that is being replaced today. Fingers crossed that resolves it before a road trip to South Dakota and their 80 mph speed limits.
New strut and an alignment later, still a noise… scheduled to go back in a couple of weeks when they have a loaner so they can take the dash apart as they think that’s where the noise is coming from.
Never thought to upsize, sounds like a good idea. Now I just have to remember to do that next time I replace mine. Wish me luck with that, current ones are only a month old.
Had the dealer do it for me before I picked it up. They told me they took it to a local body shop, just to be extra careful. Always add that on as one more thing to do after we’ve got the deal all agreed to whenever I buy a vehicle.
Took mine in on Friday for vibration and a clunking from drivers side front corner. Getting a new strut, only 1800 miles on the truck?!?! Hope that resolves vibration too.
