Rear view camera recall - now the parking aid lines don't appear

UPDATE - called dealership twice no answer. Sent 2 emails to my service advisor. No answer. Emailed Service Manager directly telling him the problem. Within 1 hour got a call from the service advisor telling me to bring it in for update - apparently they didn't realize this was an issue. So make...

Yeah, I forgot to mention that the magnifier stopped working as well. The picture quality IS a lot better.

Rear view camera recall - now the parking aid lines don't appear

Just got my camera replaced under recall - 2015 Expedition EL Got it home, backed it in to the garage and noticed the red/yellow/green lines that used to appear to help guide/park are no longer appearing. Went to settings and tried every permutation of Off/On for the two settings allowed and no...

Stranded on side of road - ugh

The tech said he wondered if the fluid was overfilled but could that have caused this? I can't imagine someone at my shop saying, "Hey, let's putt LOTS of fluid in here even though it keeps coming out the input area before we can screw the cap back on" but again, I'm no expert on these things...

Stranded on side of road - ugh

Yes - it isn't going to be too painful thanks to a military discount, and it comes with a 2 year unlimited mile warranty.

Stranded on side of road - ugh

Well, its about as bad a diagnosis as I was not hoping for. "The technician says it looks like there is internal damage to the one way clutch. He found metal chunks in the valve body, some of the valves would bind up and the filter tip looked damaged as well. The tech does suspect there could...

Stranded on side of road - ugh

No fluid that I saw, no burning smell. I suppose it could have dumped just before the gas station, but I think I would have smelled something or seen a drip underneath. Of course, it is very difficult to check fluid levels on these - have to get underneath with a wrench - what a stupid idea.

Stranded on side of road - ugh

2015 Expedition, 3.5L Eco. 73,000 miles. Recently had the transmission fluid replaced, new filter, inspection, etc. All seemed to be running fine. I still haven't gotten around to replacing the Cold side (Air outlet duct) where a few years ago I had broken off the nub but the JB weld seemed to...

Catch can on 1st Gen Ecoboost - issues?

I did a few searches and couldn't get the particulars of my questions answered from my search results.

Catch can on 1st Gen Ecoboost - issues?

So, I think I'm correct that the 2015 Expedition has the 1st Gen 3.5L Ecoboost, correct? If so, are there any issues with installing a catch can (codes thrown, performance issues, etc.)? I read on the Ecoboost forums that you generally don't see much of a difference with a catch can for the...

How to keep my 2015 Expedition going for as long as possible

I assume this one will work - is this it? Looks pretty damn easy for even ME to install. $160 isn't a bad price...

Thank you - what brand/model would you recommend for my 2015 Expedition?

Does a 2015 Expedition with 3.5L Ecoboost use same parts as 2015 F-150 with Ecoboost?

So, question - what is the part called (and part number, perhaps) for the hose that attaches to the small diameter nub/nipple coming off the main large diameter pipe? My wrench is saying he can swap the entire assembly out once we find one OEM, but said the tough part will be "cleaning up the...

Does a 2015 Expedition with 3.5L Ecoboost use same parts as 2015 F-150 with Ecoboost?

Was told by an aftermarket parts supplier that the Expeditions were a year behind when it came to the engine, so a 2015 Expedition would have a 2014 F150 Ecoboost engine, so I'd have to get parts designed for the 2014 F150 Ecoboost instead of the 2015 one. Looking specifically at this part...

Does a 2015 Expedition with 3.5L Ecoboost use same parts as 2015 F-150 with Ecoboost?

Will this part - https://ffperformance.co/product/cv-fabrication-2015-2016-ford-f-150-3-5l-ecoboost-cold-side-aluminum-intercooler-piping/ fit a 2015 Expedition with the 3.5L Ecoboost? I was assuming a 2015 F150 and a 2015 Expedition used the same 3.5L ecoboost, but wanted to make sure before...

Thanks - perhaps I should make sure I always have a quart or two with me in the vehicle, just in case.

How to keep my 2015 Expedition going for as long as possible

Given the stains that they saw on the water pump, and the stains I've seen on my driveway that correspond with its location, I'm having them replace the pump (apparently a known failure point) as well as the two belts that have to be removed anyway to access it - why not, right? The brakes and...

How to keep my 2015 Expedition going for as long as possible

Hey, guys. Been awhile and hope all is well. Got some questions about reasonable things to do for my Expedition 2015 EL with 3.5 Ecoboost to keep it running for many years to come. I bought it in 2016 with 32,000 miles on it. It now has 68,000 miles on it. Mostly used for towing at first...

Replacing tires on 2015 Expedition EL - mostly for towing

Hmm - I keep reading that my tongue weight limit without a WDH on the Expedition is 660 pounds. I read that 5%-7% is ideal tongue weight for a boat trailer. Luckily I can easily experiment a little with the position of the boat on the trailer - moving it back even a few inches will allow for...

Replacing tires on 2015 Expedition EL - mostly for towing

The M/S2s - yeah, decent price, good local tire company. I still may see how long I can go with the current ones if I'm not doing any long-range trailering for the next 8-12 months. Got my boat trailer weighed finally and discovered I'm sitting on about 950 pounds tongue weight, which is about...

Replacing tires on 2015 Expedition EL - mostly for towing

I was finally able to find them - I had originally been searching using my 2015 Expedition as the basis for the search and they didn't pop up due to some internal programming issues on Tire Rack's website. Got a quote of around $1100 installed including tax locally here.

Tires need to be replaced for 2015 Expedition EL - mostly for towing

If I do end up with new E rated tires, I'm reading wonderful things about the Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires.
