I have a Platinum on order because it has BlueCruise. I've been using BlueCruise on my Mach E since it was in beta, and it's the reason I upgraded my order to Platinum from Limited. I'm assuming it will work similarly.
My October-ordered and March-built Platinum is on a chip hold. Because I'm an employee I can see the build configuration, and can confirm that what I can currently see, I still have multicontour seats, park assist, etc. Configuration changes show up in a log, so I'm fairly confident that this is...
Or gets A Plan. But frankly, anyone buying a new Expedition at any reasonable price is "very wealthy" is terms of net worth in the United States. Or financially really, really, stupid.
Now that we have Sync 4 and OTA updates, LokiWolf's warning might go double. My Experience with the Mach E is that they just kind of randomly happen every now and then, and you might not even notice them until you're on your way out the door.
This is what I did on my Gen 2 ('04) for years. I didn't know Expeditions were notorious for dead batteries, though. I simply didn't drive it very much, and blamed the discharge on not starting it, particularly during the winter when we don't camp or go to the local Metroparks for the day...
As of this morning, my Platinum is now "Produced" but also "Sent Offsite." I'm not sure what data Marketing has that I can't access, but "Stop Ship Details" indicates there's no record for my vehicle. Maybe I'll but the bullet and call Marketing. I note also that I'm seeing "ETA Start Date" and...
Honest, non-critical question: you have to put it into drive every time you start, right? The button is right there near the rotary gear selector on recent models. Is this only bothersome on older models?
My Platinum just pulled a VIN and entered production status. Still shows:
Multi-contour Seats - Drv/pass
Drv/pass Multi-contour Seats
…for me. Knock on wood.
You never know. The folks in Cuautitlan accepted my request for my Mach E. I was able to see it on the map in FordPass for a couple of weeks before OKTB!
I've got to ask… does "Sketch" let you color in an Expedition, or does it have a Mustang Mach E there? Just curious if Ford have made it vehicle specific.
On my Mach E, touching the Expedition icon (err, Mach E icon) in the top left is only the first step. You'll still need two more taps to activate the cameras. This is my biggest complaint with the big screen.
No need to say that it's facetious. Just like JasonH said:
My Mach E is my first choice. Well, only choice, as I've sold the '04 and am awaiting the .22.
I realize that there's probably not a whole lot of info on 2022 yet, but let's assume that 2018+ is going be pretty similar for discussion purposes.
I've got a 2022 Platinum on order with awesome looking sandstone seats. I've also got a 10 month old and four year old, and this vehicle is mostly...
I picked up my previous Expedition for a song back in 2008 because everyone was trading in their large SUV's upside down due to fear of $4 gasoline. Fourteen years later, $5 gasoline doesn't seem that expensive. For what's really just a second vehicle, I'm probably good up to $9 or so. I'm...
I have a Mach E. The screen grows on you, and now it's easy to say "it's glorious." It really is. I wish the 360 camera had a button like other Fords, and I would prefer the HVAC to be physical controls. However, I don't fiddle with the HVAC pretty much ever, so it's not really a deal killer...
I like it too. Like someone else upthread didn't quite say, the current generation looks a little feminine. That's something I will overlook because it's a damned nice truck, but at least the 2022 looks a little more refined, a little less soccer mom.
