2015 Expedition My Ford Touch to Sync 3

I have not done this, but I have researched it. That company and Coastal E-Tech both sell the kits for multiple vehicles, and feedback is good on them. The actual swap process seems pretty easy. It's just swap the module and screen, wire up the USB hub, and connect a second GPS antenna. The...

    ForScan Tweaks - 2015+

It's hard to describe. Ford never installed version 3.10 in any production vehicle. V3.7 and 3.8 were considered "stable", and Ford discontinued the MFT support where you could download the latest version online in 2015 with the introduction of Sync 3. For instance, mine was 3.7 and I couldn't...

https://mega.nz/#!o8wkBThJ!tuT3IbfaIpwgl22KKaAUYpWQ5Sr-LdBwmZ4rCdzkxck This is the version I used. If you do the update, ONLY unzip the main file. I found out the hard way if you touch any of the rest, the install will fail. I didn't change anything in my APIM coding and got everything back...

No, the dealer won't touch MFT anymore. I found a link to a few different versions online, downloaded and compared them, and went with the latest one that was complete. It's not an 'official' version, and is pieced together from alternate sources. I tried it anyway, and it worked fine for me...

@ExpeditionAndy my headlights are currently being converted from the base reflectors to custom-painted projectors with bi-xenon HIDs and a few other small tweaks. Thankfully I don't need my truck again until next month. @ads245 According to my notes, I went the other way. I changed 726-49-01...

    ForScan Tweaks - 2015+

Drove 200 miles today just to be able to try this. No luck getting the option to be available in the IPC (yet), but changing 726-49-01 did the magic. The checkmark is gone. I am unable to physically verify they are in fact off, because my truck doesn't have any headlights. But I consider that a...

    Console shifter hole/gap cover thingie.

Mine is actually the same way. Little chunks have fallen off it where the shifter makes contact, to the point that the orange gear indicator no longer shows the correct gear. I honestly hadn't considered replacing it because the indicator is redundant anyway, but for $15, might be worth it.

Well, that's a drag. Thanks @ads245 for trying it out. Beyond the as-built data that you can pull from the Motorcraft site, all of which we've narrowed down as not being relevant, the only other lines of code I can find that seem to differ between my truck and trucks without DRLs are the...

I'm going to add this here even though I don't have a way to test it out until later. In the Fusion, Explorer, and F-150, the following corresponds to DRLs in Canadian vehicles: 726-16-02 0202 0202 02 IPC Control locked out In all three, it says to change it to 0101 0101 00 to unlock the...

Hypertech Max Energy 2.0 - First Impressions

5 Star Tuning via Stage 3 Motorsports. I got their 87 Economy, 93 Perf/Tow, and 93 Performance tunes. I would (and should) have questioned it when I got the tunes installed, but I thought the EB vehicles had a torque management system that choked off the engine during shifts and that was the...

    '15 Center console question

In the owner's manual, it lists that area as "utility compartment, coin holder slots, tissue box holder, audio input jack and USB port" As I also never figured out its purpose, it seemed likely that it is in fact the tissue box holder.

Hypertech Max Energy 2.0 - First Impressions

So I've learned to my dismay. Lol My '13 F-150 with the 5.0 had the exact same trans and would lay 25 feet of rubber going into second and bark going into 3rd gear despite the same tires and 3.55 gearing instead of my current 3.73s. I thought perhaps it was a form of torque management during...

Hypertech Max Energy 2.0 - First Impressions

How much effect does it actually have on shift firmness? I have an SCT with a custom tune and the shift pressure set at +25% and it still feels like someone rowing a three-on-the-tree to me.

Chuck nailed it. Press the "-" button on the shifter and that will pop up. Both my 2015s have it and it stays on any time the trucks are in drive. I find it useful to lock out 5th and 6th when I'm towing my trailer in slower traffic so I don't have to wait for boost.

    ForScan Tweaks - 2015+

@ads245 posted (post #111) a link to a spreadsheet he compiled of known changes that work in the Expeditions so far. @chuck s I got 6 free months of Sirius when I bought my XLT used, and I kept ignoring their little cards to extend the service, and the price kept going lower and lower. I think...

2016 Expedition XLT Aftermarket Radio Upgrade???

https://www.infotainment.com/collections/all/products/4-sync-to-8-sync-3-custom-touchscreen-upgrade I have a 2015 so my options are also limited since the touchscreen controls everything. Naturally, this is also pricey, but compatibility won't be an issue.

I've been looking more and more, it seems that 720-02-01 **X* **** ** pertains to the DRL option in the cluster for Explorers, F150s, and Fusions, with possibly Flex's on that list as well. On the Fusion and F150, you add 4 to whatever that present value is to make the option active. In our...

New 2015 Expedition 4x4 Owner Flat Towing

While not all 2015 Expeditions had the ambient lighting, if your footwells have it, your cupholders should as well. It was an all or none option. So you have an issue. I'm not sure where the plugs are offhand and don't have my truck, but it could be as simple as something got unplugged.

@ads245 On the 2GFusion spreadsheet, they list the "Secure Idle" as 726-42-01 *X** **** **** as well. The Explorer spreadsheet doesn't list it for anything built before MY16, which makes me wonder if even SSV Expy's had it as a feature. Was push-button start an option on 15-17 SSV Expy's or...

    ForScan Tweaks - 2015+

My thinking is that because the XLT was used by several companies as a rental, Ford found it easiest to just make all of them have DRLs from the factory so they didn't have to change coding for non-fleet ones. Maybe my logic is flawed though. I'm going to try and dig in to some Canadian Plats to...

    ForScan Tweaks - 2015+

So here's the mind-blowing part: I spent the morning comparing 4 different trucks configured identically to mine ('15, XLT, with 202A, 4WD, etc), and every single one had a US country code for the nav, yet they all had a 'C' in 720-02-01. They also did not have a difference in BCM lines...

As far as I know, my truck was originally sold in NJ, so pretty sure it's a US truck, but just as you found @ads245 my cluster has the option on the right screen, but it is grayed out. Lines 726-09-01 and 726-11-01 were also different in my truck versus my wife's Platinum, but changing both of...

    I'll be without my truck for the next month, so all progress has halted for the time being. I changed that code in the IPC 720-05-01 to every possible hex digit from 0-F. 3, 7, B, and F - phone/nav/ent 0, 4, 8, and C - phone only 1, 5, 9, and D - nav/phone 2, 6, A, and E - ent/phone I also can...

    ForScan Tweaks - 2015+

Thought I'd bump this up with some confirmations that nearly everything listed above works on my '15. I added the heated/cooled seat icons on the climate quadrant, six flashes on the lane change (I had to use C instead of A though), and activated Bambi mode. Due to needing to eliminate the DRLs...
