The area I circled in red. I pulled off that o-ring, and made everything roughly the same diameter as where the o-ring sits. That was enough to make it a press-fit into the hole where the 2014 F-150 sensor normally bolts.
My apologies, the full line is xxxx xxxx xxxx. I never include the checksum digits when talking about changes as they are self-correcting with FORScan.
Do the 5.4s use a small MAF sensor to measure airflow or a full-diameter?
On my 5.0 F-150, it used a sensor that slides in to the tube, so if the tube was a bigger diameter than stock, then the proportion of air the sensor is measuring is wrong and the truck runs lean because it thinks it’s...
I have the Husky’s for all three rows in my wife’s EL and the first two rows plus the extended cargo liner in mine. I don’t know what issues others have seen with the fronts, because the fit and finish was perfect on them. Same applies to the rest of the liners. I can’t comment on how the...
I’ll add my experience here. I have 285/75R18 (35x11.50R18) tires on stock rims on my ‘15 with the 3/2 lift.
I get some slight rubbing now where the fender liner has sagged on the driver’s side, but none on the passenger side, and none anywhere else. Off-road, I’ve never noticed any additional...
I regularly run 80+ on my 35” LT Terra Grapplers and I’ve never even thought about it as anything other than normal. It could be because my previous truck was loud and on 35” M/Ts, but only time I can even notice the tires is windows down next to a concrete divider. I can easily hold a...
I have never seen any listings for the MPG readout in any of the FORScan spreadsheets I’ve looked at. It could exist, and just hasn’t been found yet. If you park up or downhill and artificially increase or decrease the fuel level, does the DTE change accordingly? I ask because my driveway has a...
In regards to number 1. DRL Lock does work on the 15-17 Expedition. I can personally 100% verify that, as it took me weeks to get it shut off when I added my HID retrofits. The caveat is that it only works to turn the lock “off”, activating it in a vehicle not factory equipped does nothing. And...
In the Expedition, the little one at the rear of the truck is the resonator. We don’t have the round one up front. @J Ski removed the resonator on his (http://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/2016-side-exit-exhaust-rear-muffler-delete.34521/), and I replaced the muffler with a 3” Stainless Works...
I have the rights to make changes to the spreadsheet, just haven’t really had any time to make the updates that have been found. @ads245 originally made it, but I haven’t seen him post in quite a while.
If @17LimitedExpy builds a new one I will try and transfer over the changes so there’s...
Check out the Explorer spreadsheets for FORScan floating around for sure. They break out changes based on the Type 1 and Type 2 displays specifically, which should make it easier.
Nice to see you doing some new retrofits, pretty solid combo you have going there. Output should be incredible.
Are the Hella ballasts 35W? And what made you choose the CBB over the CBI?
It’s the Rustoleum Peel Coat in Graphite. It has held up okay, it’s been on way too long, and it has some chips and scratches where the chrome is shining through.
It’s been a while since I read it, but doesn’t FORScan allow you to program keys without needing to do the ignition trick?
I don’t believe any XLT came with the push-button start. Mine is a 202A package truck and still has a regular key.
Both of those look identical to my XLT keys. Don’t see any issues with the listings. You can always make sure you can program before getting them cut, so if they don’t work they’ll be easy to return.
Ah, ok. Was afraid of that. Now that I look closer at the 2017 buyer’s guide, I see them mentioned. I can’t seem to find them anywhere, or any other of the stock mats.
You might call Tasca or one of the other online places that sell OEM Ford parts, they may be able to find them and the price...
My stock ones don’t have the “Expedition” writing on them, so I think the ones above are the upgraded versions. I haven’t found the factory ones that aren’t Ford accessories.
That being said, if you want some of the regular ones, mine (black carpet, no writing) are sitting in the basement and...
I vented mine ages ago, and it doesn’t take a purchase of anything to do it. Yanked the hose between the BOV and intake tube. I used a spray paint can lid and zip-tied it over where the factory hose connected to the intake plumbing. Simply left the BOV open.
Ford’s 2014 Super Duty brochure says the Platinum came with one. If the wheels are the same, then it just might be possible. It sure wouldn’t be the easiest mod ever, but if you want one, I’d encourage you to go for it.
Wish the 15-17 Expedition had a vehicle it shared the steering wheel with...
“Souped-up Honda” :hahano:
I’ll give you that one was good.
I went from a modded Coyote-powered F-150 with long tubes, no cats, a dual-in/dual-out box resonator, with no mufflers, that was dumped before the rear axle; to my Ecoboost-powered Expedition that has a 4” bullet muffler in place of...
