    Sea Foam

Using it how? Fuel system, crank case before an oil change, top end cleaning such as introducing through your brake booster? What is your goal?

    Just did an oil change

Unless money is no object, I've found that just cranking my wheels hard to the left and lying on my back in front of the truck make it easy enough to get the filter on and off. I'm cheap though, why pay $15 for something that takes 5 minutes for something I can spend 8 hours on to get done...

    Need help with re-angling headlight

I don't have a pic at the moment, but there are two tuners that stick out into the engine bay, the two that are just bare metal. I had to use a vice grip to realign mine. I believe the top one does up/down and the bottom one does left/right. Should all be in your users manual or haynes manual if...

    A little urban off roading

I was a little nervous on how far to push it. I'm still running stock everything on suspension, you have any upgrades on yours?

    A little urban off roading

Had some time to kill before lunch today, so drove down into a part of town that's largely abandoned due to the flood of 2008. Testing out my stock suspension before I do too much to it.

    1999 Remote Start

Sorry, it's when I use the remote to start it. It was working just fine a few weeks ago, from your description it sounds like I may have jarred something loose by off roading. Does that sound right to you? If I were to open up my steering column any idea what I should be looking for? When it...

    1999 Remote Start

I've got a remote start on my truck, but don't know enough about it, and can't seem to find online anywhere (i may just suck at google) but I can't tell if this was factory installed or not. I'm not sure if it was even an option in the 1999's. Anyway, it starts and died after 5 seconds...

    A4WD vs. 4WH ?

I belive A4WD (automatic 4 wheel drive) is when your truck is in rear wheel drive mode, but will automatically flip into 4WD if the rear wheels start to slip (like on an icy road, or in my case going through mud deeper than i expected) whereas 4WH is just your regular 4WD with normal gearing, as...

How do I replace the PCV hose?

I had to do mine a few weeks ago, we to the local Advance Auto Parts, they didn't have the exact part I needed in stock, but it's just a standard tube (sorry, not very technical) so the guy just cut me a length off a scrap he had and let me have it no cost. Reset my computer and was good to go.

    Big Tex Brush Guard

I'm from Cedar Rapids. The only real modification is the mounting brackets. Ours go into the bottom/top of the frame, whereas Chevy ones go in from the side (at least on this model from an 06 silverado). The guy at the shop guessed about $100 for the work, bringing my total to $175 for a brand...

    Road Trip Worthiness

the only thing i can advise at this point is speed. i routinely drive to see friends 2 and half hours away, and if I go 70mph I tend to get about 16 mpg, however if i can stand to get passed and keep it around 62mph i see my mileage jump all the way to around 21mpg. i built a cold air intake...

    Big Tex Brush Guard

yeah, i got it. talked the guy down to $60, but there will need to be some fab/weld work done to get it to fit right, the local shop said for me to bring it back in about 2 weeks. hoping to keep the project fairly low cost. if i can't i may just try to flip it on craigslist or something

love hate relationship of an 08

not the answer you're looking for, but are you able to get any sort of employee discount on buying this one you love so much after it's tour of duty as a rental?

    Big Tex Brush Guard

On their website at least is says "Oversize one-piece design and heavy outside welds mean the Big Tex won't bend, flex, or vibrate", so hopefully that's accurate. At this point I'm doing it just for looks, and for a good spot to mount offroad lights. Going to look at it in a few hours, hopefully...

    Parking break

I had this question a few days back too, seems to be a mixed bag as to whether you can do it or not, but this is what I found. http://www.justanswer.com/ford/1f0yb-tighten-parking-brake-03-expedition.html Don't know what year yours is and if this will apply, but might be a start. If someone...
