So it depends a lot on if you have a sunroof and what you have for a ceiling console up front. You will need to take out all of the pillar plastics, they all pop off. In order to get the b and c pillars out youll also need to unbolt the seatbelt which is easy enough to do. Then the ones out back...
If you're interested in HIDs then it seems to me that you will need to buy them separately. HIDs are basically just a much brighter bulb that uses a different gas inside, somebody else can probably give a more technical explanation. But before ordering HIDs I'd suggest looking into if these new...
My stock housings with hids were very annoying for oncoming people, I could light up the tops of houses by parking just feet away from them. In my lightning housings now, they are aimed very well and don't bother anybody. I get all my hids from ddm tuning
I do like the black lightning style ones you put up, but those hids seem really expensive...i'd look into ddm tuning if I were you. I've gotten a bunch of sets from them for my truck and other peoples cars and haven't had any issues, plus they have a lifetime warranty they say
My friend had a similar issue with his 01 f150, his truck was previously wired for a plow so the connector that hooks on to the bulb was hacked up so eventually that made one light stop turning on. Just a possibility, so take a look at the connector too and make sure all the wires seem to be in...
Do your dome lights work? There is a 15A fuse down under the steering column in that fuse box that I pull at car shows to shut off my lights....when I pull that fuse it shuts off power to the windows too
Hey guys so I'm looking to remove the eddie bauer stripe that goes down the sides of the truck. Anyone done this? If so what's the best way to go about doing it?
very cool, my 98 has been in my family since my dad bought it new back in the day. few summers ago he upgraded to a limited 09 expo and handed the 98 down to me
when i did mine, you need to hook the trigger wire from the headunit to the positive wire of one of the reverse lights. video cable from camera to headunit. power and ground of camera to power and ground of camera.
or you can do it the way they have described above so you have full control of it
I usually take them off once we start getting ice because the cities and towns start going crazy putting down salt and sand....easy way to eat away at the nice chrome finish
the problem with suede for wrapping is that it cant be heated and stretched to fit heavy curves from what i noticed when doing my wrap stuff. I think you should do a combination of wrapping and paint, just so its not an overwhelming amount of either
your profile says your from nj, how long are you gonna be able to keep the rims on before the weather gets too bad? I usually take mine off for the winter around now
not sure if its the same sound i have, but when mine is cold it has a very noticeable ticking that corresponds to the rpms....once its warmed up it goes away. it hasnt given me any problems, just somthing i notice all the time though
Freeway, I'm running 2 computer fans in my amp case. They're wired to my turn on wire so they come on whenever my amps are on. Haven't had an overheat problem yet
