this is the truck that motivated me to lower mine, i remember seeing pics of it online somewhere and i loved it.....now that i know its blown i love it even more. welcome to the forum
my neighbor is a professional painter and when i asked him about he said that SEM is one of the best brands for this sort of stuff. He used it on his mustang and its held up perfectly for years
so i'm looking to do a roll pan on my truck and i wanted to see if anybody on here has one or has any experience with installing them on these trucks. any help is appreciated
just like other people posted above, you're not supposed to use hids in headlights like these because of the excessive heat. i installed ones like these on my friends f150 and i remember there being a warning saying to not use hids. I got lightning style headlights for mine and they do a pretty...
i pulled mine out to do my stereo, i was gonna sell it but it comes in handy as a unique seat to sit in at car shows....basically my own personal couch that matches the interior lol
98 5.4 with 185,000, only real engine related repairs have been alternator, exhaust manifold bolt, cylinder 2 coil over plug, lower radiator hose, and a vacuum line
my 98 does that exact same thing every once in a while, my guess has always been that maybe a tooth on the starter or something is missing and every so often it lines up to that missing tooth and just spins....i always just let off right away and it starts normal after
im running 10000K in my low beams which are lightning headlights and 20000K in my fogs, the fogs are pretty blue and the lows are a light blue. i got mine on ddmtuning.com for like 50$
i painted my stocks gunmetal metallic gray and my friend's f150 wheels black, make sure you do a good prep job with sanding and cleaning and you shouldnt have any problems. mine have seen two winters while painted and havent had any chipping at all. i used rustoleum wheel paint and clear....a...
If youre gonna mount the box just like it is in the pic then youll need something to keep it from sliding towards the tailgate on acceleration and tipping towards the center of the truck on some turns (since itll be front heavy with the subs mounted. If it were me i'd use these brackets (or...
i have hardwood floor interior in the backseat area and trunk (no more backseat), 3 12" alpine type r's, 3 1000 watt hifonics amps, 100 watt powerhorn with alpine amp, alpine type r 6.5" component speakers front and rear, full blue led swap on basically everything, led "waterglow" in...
could it be because the gas tank is on driver side and maybe the tank was low? the factory ride height adjustments may be for a full tank of gas so if it were low then that side would sit higher. just a thought
i cant see 20's hurting you too badly, i mean of course it will impact the milage slightly because of the extra rotating mass but i dont think it will be too major. I'm running 26's on mine right now and get around 9-10mpg, thats with driving her easy for the most part
I tried the fog and running light mod before but it didnt work for me, i must not have taken enough off of the little ramp so ill go try it again soon....and i wish i knew that towel trick when i first tried it because i lost that small piece as it shot off and couldnt be found, didnt affect it...
can you send me the link for the write up? my dads 2010 expo can do running lights and fogs and i love the look of it yet when i tried to modify mine it still doesnt seem to work the way i want
i know i went the opposite direction with this ( i lowered instead of lifted) but its the same basic idea. i just got new tbar keys from canuck motorsports which were adjustable for 1-3" of lowering (realistically around 5"). Thermo is right, getting the keys broken loose was the hardest...
i ordered mine from ddm tuning, paid like 60ish bucks including shipping, they might not have walk ins because the lady on the phone told me most of the hid kits ship out from china (which mine did). as for installing them, there is really no way to mess it up.... theres online like 4 things to...
