the only problem with those bumpers is that unless you put on the side skirts and change the rear bumper the side will look really off. those are from a complete body kit that is designed to give a wider and lower appearance to your truck. the gen 1s look good with the whole kit but not at...
Thats the kind of stuff that makes people.lose faith in the judicial system and take matters into their own hands. I'm sorry you got worked over on this one but like you said, karma and now you have a little.project to keep you off the streets at night.:flamingdevil:
ya thats why i cant see buying them on a may or may not work. but then may have same issue with control arms. and being the abuse they are made to take may need to change everything from the frame out so a real lift may just be cheaper in the long run.
but more like half the price of the rize lol. almost was going to throw a pair of raptor struts up front and leave the rear with the spacer but cant find any cheap enough
since i lifted my 07(three inch spacer), my upper control arm is just about touching the spring and if i hit a bump right it makes a light clunking sound. i think its the arm and spring touching. does anyone else have this happen?
if you take your time and do it right a can will be fine for what your doing. practice on a couple things if your not sure how smooth you can lay it out
dupli color makes decent stuff. as far as satin or flat or semi-gloss you have to decide how flat or shiny you want. top of the can will give you somewhat of an idea but you can sometimes change it a tiny bit depending on coats/thickness
biggest thing is prep. CLEAN it really good. use a quality paint too. light scuff with a scotch brite pad and clean it again. also an adhesion promoter is always a good idea.
Went with the falken high country. Got a good deal at my old work 305/50/20 for $214 each and no mount or balance charges. Did a little light wheeling today and they seemed good so far. Towed a trailer about 120 miles on them sat. No complaints so far.
mine wasnt originally bought as a special service unit but since my possesion has been turned in to such for working with my fire dept. does that count? i have my personal 3rd gen and the dept has a 1st gen.
i tried looking at one of my buddies f150 before and it looks like the mounts may work but we would have to cut out the cross bar in the middle of the lower grill opening. never put a tape to it though, just eyeballed
hmm. i never had an issue. must depend on the vehicle or size tire. or they didnt put the correct amount in yours. i know not all sizes are listed with the amount to put in since it was mostly designed for commercial trucks.
i did have it on my old truck. highway was fine. im going to put it in my new tires im getting in a couple weeks. only time you will get any kind of vibration will be right after take off untill whatever your using gets moved in the tire to the low spot during rotation. it makes no sense how...
