I delay relay is a great idea if all your accessories turn on when they get power. The monitors I have do not power up until the power button is used, so no need for the delay. Most monitors wont have any power draw until switched on. But again depends on your products.
Also the VA700 does...
Shooooot, hit a delay. Was ready to carpet last night and cut the port holes BUT the ports I have are way to large (4") I need 3" ports so ordered them up (should be here later this week) and now I have to wait to cut the right size hole when they are here. Dangit. Oh well, time to go run...
Do not use any wires directly from the deck. Capitan Morgan was right on using a relay that would be a good way to get a clean power source. The other way to do it would be to use a video distribution amplifier. that way you can run power and video to and from it. It can also cut down on the...
jered22, measure measure measure lol I think I measured and sized the headrest monitor 5 or 6 times before i cut anything. Its actually alot easier than you think.
Capitan M, yeah I have 1/2" foam tape that will be put on the perimeter of the the whole box, both sides then the carpet...

The most tiem consuming part I had was fishing the wire throught the gromets between the tailgate and...
without going into too much detail the addition of the 3rd tweeter generally adds a higher range. BUT that said a good set of 2 ways can be as good or better.
If you adding a good 4 ch amp look into higher power handling speakers. If you do not have a subwoofer in the truck now you will get a...
x2 on clarion. Also, spend some money on sound deadening. Not only does it make speakers sound better but the cab of the truck will be much quieter. And just get a couple rolls and do it yourself
Blackwater,
Flipping the kit around to mount the deck higher is going to mean you need to cut quite a bit out of the back. Just be prepared to cut more than you think.
Your rear seat is controled by the same system that controls your steering wheek controls. It can be saved. Look into geting an SWI-Jack from PAC. Every radio shop should know or have one.
There are many other SOUND DEADENING products out there. Dynamat is just the best known.
There are plenty of ways to deaden the cabin jst depends on how much time and money you want to spend. As well as the level of deadening you want Theres may types and styles and everyone has their...
I have my antenna in the same location, off center on the dash at the bottom of the windsheild. Works great.
For the enclosure theres a couple tips that are greatfor that location. first of sound deaden the area. Second cut a couple sectinos of mdf for the back panel so that you can use the...
