    Need to try the Concours 14 or even the ST1300. Both of those kicked Harley's butt when the CHP did a comparison. Plus Kawasaki has a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty so you can ride all you want and still be covered.

    It was nice rolling through the campground looking at all the Subaru's, and little SUV's and they stared like I was in a monster truck. There was also a bunch of 3/4 and 1 ton trucks there but they were all pulling 5th wheel campers so they had plenty of storage, but I also had the least amount...

    My favorite lift is hang cleans so maybe that is why I get a kick out of it. All I have to do after that is a balancing act/shoulder press and hope I don't blow a "gasket" in the process. :jester:

    I do have a hitch hauler, and I could put bike mounts on top but I liked being able to lower the bike rack to have quick access to the rear hatch. Plus I like a challenge every now and again! :pepper:

    I am 6'2'' 250 and that was one of the hardest things I have done in a while. I heaved it up on my head then pressed it up onto the side of the rack and slid it in. The sad thing was that I didn't learn my lesson and left it loaded up for when we came home and I had to do it all over again.

    I finally used my Expy like I intended to when I bought it. I loaded it down with all the gear and "neccesities" then piled my four kids and wife into it, and away we went to the Lake of the Ozarks. It was so nice having all the extra room inside for the kids to sprawl out inside of filling it...

    Mine is behind the bumper also, I was doing some reading online and the reason it is there is because it was part of the "heavy duty" trailering package that included larger oil and tranny coolers. Also if you have this package, the Expy will hold nearly one extra quart of oil.

    Transmission damage if I lift and add 18s with 33s????

    I have 33's with a 3/2 lift and I have not had a single problem. I don't drive my Expy a bunch but when I do, I usually am finding a mud hole or hauling bikes. So it definitely doesn't get pampered.

    Welcome, there are tons of options for the roof basket, lift, and 35's. Just make sure you do your research or ask on here about what will work best for your wife's wants and needs. What's up with the SHO? You said it was a money pit, is that in a good way or a bad way?

    Technically HID's are for off road use only unless they are OEM. But if you stick with a "normal" color then you shouldn't have any problems. I have never had any problems with the 6000K kits on either of my motorcycles or the 8000K kit on my Expy. It all depends on your state and what laws...

    It is pretty damn close. Every manufacturer will have slight differences but from what I have owned (6000K and 8000K) those are nearly an identical match.
