    Where are you from?

Jeremy, living in Missouri currently. Probably headed downrange again soon though.

    look and question...

Your best bet would be to do some salvage yard hunting. It would really suck to buy a brand new bumper just to have to do some "trimming" to get it to fit. If I can find a good third row seat for $60, I'm sure you can find a bumper and bracket setup for around a benjamin.

    Sytem questions

Same here, as soon as the snow melts my expedition won't leave the driveway unless I am going fishing or need to take my kids somewhere. I ride my bike whenever I get the chance. It makes my 300 + miles of commuting each week alot cheaper since I can get around 40 mpg if I stay out of the...

    Roof Basket Started

I will have the 24 inch extension also, but I will not have the ability to walk on my rack like you will. It looks like your roof will give in before your rack will. That looks really nice. I wish I had a welder to do my own work like that.

    Roof Basket Started

That looks like it will be built to withstand about anything, but what about the rack that you are attaching it to? I read somewhere that the load limit of the stock roof rack was 150 lbs. Maybe I'm wrong, but your rack by itself will be pushing that from the looks of it. I am going to buy a...

    window regulator!!!

I bought six M8 bolts (about 1.5 inches long) and nuts. I also used lock washers, but it made the bolts sit a little askew when the JB Weld dried. If I were you I would just just use regular flat washers. The worst thing about about JB Weld is the dry time, so if you have access to a welder...

    window regulator!!!

I just replaced the regulator and motor for my drivers door this past weekend. I went to NAPA and bought bolts and nuts. I don't have a welder so I used JB Weld to hold the bolts to the window motor, I put the nuts on and then used my angle grinder to take off the exposed bolts.

    stuck on 5 head lights!

I voted 4 and 5 since I am not a fan of the super fancy looking LED lights. I have already noticed that my new OEM headlight assemblies (previous owner replaced them a couple months ago) are severly lacking in the light output department. I will be shopping for some aftermarket housings to...

    Started on the stereo system

I was gonna ask you about the infidel avatar and your screen name, I actually teach M9, MK-19 and M2 at the MP school. I have a PPI PC2600.2 and am undecided on my sub, but am thinking about using an Alpine type R, but would need a spacer since that sub is to deep for that enclosure. Maybe...

    --Best tires--

What about these? I know they haven't been out very long but maybe someone here has a set. I know the reviews on tires.com and www.lastgreatroadtrip.com are very favorable. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310292854993&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2431wt_1165

    Started on the stereo system

That looks great, I am probably going to use the pre-made enclosure for my 97 since I have no experience with fiberglassing.

If you find something that looks good please let me know. I am looking to spend the same amount of money since this is just my beater.

Who has the most miles on the odometer of their expedition?

What has been replaced? If that list is to long then can you tell us what is still original? :D My 97 EB 4x4 has 170,000, and is running great.

    Looking for some options

Check crutchfield.com. They have great customer service but their prices are usually higher than most. You can use their system to find out what fits then find those pieces elsewhere for a better price.

    How high should I go?

Anyone have links to where some good shocks for a 2-3 inch lift can be purchased? I have been looking everywhere and have come up empty except for the shocks on ebay made for a 1 inch lift.

    looking for input on subwoofers

I have been shopping for the exact same thing, and I have come up with only one decent option so far. It is the Alpine Type S (new style) but a spacer would have to be used to get the sub to fit since the mounting depth is 5 7/8ths. I will just have a 3/4 or 1 inch MDF ring made and that will...

    MagnaFlow vs. Flowmaster

All the Gibson's I have heard have been a little more mellow than a Flowmaster, and sound very similar to a Magnaflow. Here is a link to a retard revving the hell out of his Expy in his garage with kids running around. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZLj-ZbAvn4

    How high should I go?

I realize a lift isn't a necessity to fit the tires, but I would like a little extra ground clearance. I will probably end up going with the 2 inch lift unless there is some great info that says the 3 inch lift can't be beaten. Also do stock fitment shocks do a great job with a 2-3 inch...

    How high should I go?

I went and picked up a seat yesterday at an auto recycler only 20 minutes from my house so now I can concentrate on the cool stuff like tires and a 2-3 inch lift. If I get 285/75/16 tires what would you reccomend for a lift? I am sticking with the stock front and will crank the torsion bars...

    97 EB factory amp question

That is what I figured. I was hoping there was an easier option. Maybe there is someone that has pulled the stock amp and wired the speakers from the outputs on the factory amp.

FS: Stock head unit and CD changer from 1997 EB

I took them out yesterday and they are just sitting in my garage. The head unit works fine, but I didn't test the CD changer, since all my music is on my Iphone. The only problem is a small crack on the trim piece that covers the CD changer inside the console. Does $10 plus shipping sound ok...

    97 EB factory amp question

I installed a Kenwood (X-791) head unit yesterday into my 97. The front door speakers say "Premium" so I am assuming that I don't have the Mach system. I wired everything up and left the power and ground for the stock amp unplugged, in an attempt to bypass it and use the cleaner Excelon amp to...

Third Row seat for a 1997

I just bought a 1997 EB and it didn't have the third row seat, if anyone has one or knows of one (preferably close to Missouri). I found a third row in Tulsa for a 2000 and when I tried it the brackets wouldn't fit into the floor. So I guess they changed the design in between 97 and 2000...
