I would still go with an aftermarket valve body rather then a tuner, less money, mechanically shifts quicker, instead of raising line pressure. and instead of the tranny pan an aux transmission cooler so you get quicker cooling and its most likley cheaper then a new pan, and possibly E-fans?
I also suggest calling airlift or firestone and ask about air bags that will suit your rear ride height, just ask for 4x4 standard suspension bags and ask if they have the same dimensions except 4 inches taller!
yes all expys have spark plugs and all 5.4 engines have coil packs, some 4.6's have plug wires, I would say replace everything as in plugs and cops just to make it run in tip top shape
the trans can wait 5000 miles, and when you do it add a trans cooler too...
Spark plugs are critical with these engines, gone get anything other then motorcraft or autolight, very very picky motors! its probably a good idea to get new coil packs too!
Well ill give you the symptoms
-When problem occurs the speedometer goes out
-when problem occurs, the trans only holds first gear, I have to manually shift to second and thats all I have to work with
-Dash lights flash (4x4hi, 4x4lo, A4wd, low wash, and airbag)
I think it may be a...
Good shocks right here only problem is that they are the same thing as bilstein's which are cheaper :) go with bilsteins they are soo widley reccommended
I like th 99 engine better they had forged pistons and a forged crankshaft! but that isnt somthing that should effect mileage, I say tuneup, new fuel cap, gotts mod, and LONGTUBES!!!!!!!!!!! lol jk about the long tubes:)
if its just a mud truck by all means do blocks but if you plan on anything else like rock crawling or somthing, I would say just go with larger leafs, preferably a spring under axle to minimize axle wrap, if you go SOA get traction bars!
