Yes. "Plugged" into the back of the coin holder that lives where the brake controller goes. Mine also is a 2020 Limited. I had to enable the module with Forscan.
Question—there’s two different transfer cases. One that has 2nd and 4A only, and one with those plus 4H and 4L. Accurate?
Are they otherwise the same? Are 4H and L engaged they same was as 4A, or is there a difference?
If it's like my 2010 Suburban system, 4WH locks the transfer case. Need to be on slippery surfaces, or the drivetrain will jerk and bind. On 4WAuto, a clutch in the transfer case allows the fronts to engage/disengage as needed, so there's no binding. So it's fine to use in all road...
I noticed that on my 2020, if I had it in snow mode on the previous drive, on next start it's back to normal (as expected)--but it's still in 4A. I manually have to select 2H to revert back.
Installed the catch can today. Dropped the second speed clip, never to be retrieved, when I was drilling the second hole a little larger. Drill bit fell down the abyss as well lol.
Luckily, they also supply nyloc nuts, so nbd.
Old (stock) hose came off fine. Did the valve cover end first so...
I watched the J&L install video. They show how to move the tab on the factory fitting to pop them off, but not quote clearly. Going to install it later today.
Ordered a J&L catch can. Any tips on removing the PCV connectors? I'm more a VW guy, so Ford connectors are new to me--so much I ruined two good ignition coils removing the electrical connectors. And I don't want to break any more connections.
It’s easy. I didn’t lift the truck or anything. Just unscrewed two opposite lug nuts, replaced with the new ones, and torqued to spec. Repeat 12 times.
From my thread about Gorilla spline nuts not being the right fit:
On Amazon I found Zoffi black forged one-piece lug nuts. They claim to fit my vehicle (large acorn seat), and have a diagram with the proper measurements (incuding the proper 21mm hex size), and they were $43 for 24.
I bought two replacement ignition coils from 1Aauto to replace the stockers where the retaining tabs snapped off when I changed the spark plugs.
First drive afterward, and the engine soon started misfiring, flashing MIL. Got a P0302 code—one of the replaced coils.
Reused the old Ford coil for...
Also bought my 2020 max used; also had only one fob (but it did have the second physical key, which is weird). The dealer had me come back when his "key guy" visited, and it took him about 15 minutes to get me a second fob paired to the car. Fob is branded Ford, but I don't know if it's...
