I have a set of AT2's for mine. They grip great in the snow and look aggressive while being almost silent on the road. They will wear faster than the regular M&S 's though. I got 40k out of my first set.
Just put my 315's on for winter though.
Started out installing commercial signs 1'-130' tall, did that for 18 years.
Next I was a Service Manager and tuner at a dyno and custom tuning shop (mostly Mustangs) and currently I'm a Service Manager at a regional tire/auto shop.
Working on the ground and indoors is a much better gig ;)
I run a repair shop and I can tell you it's pretty common. The last one we had was an E-150 loaded with tile. My own personal experience was riding in my buddies lightning and it chucked one out at 80mph under about twelve pounds of boost....it was very dramatic :)
If Clinton had taken care of Bin Laden when he had the chance, we wouldn't have had 9/11. Of course the .com economic wave couldn't last forever anyway.
Anyhoo. I'm still driving mine everyday.
I have a single 12" solo-baric L7 behind the 3rd seat and still have room for detailing supplies. The amp is mounted in the side storage area. All the sound with all the seating is nice.
18mpg highway
6 passengers, cruise set @ 80 and the A/C on Max
2000 4.6L
We're heading to another NHRA race this weekend, I'll report back with an update.
I love the AT/2 's !
I'm a Service Manager at a tire dealer. I could have any tire I want, but nothing beats Michelin.
Thanks to all for the kind comments. Our dying bolt pattern doesn't allow many wheel choices, but I'm pleased with the outcome.
Alpine press release
On Alpine's site it says it's compatible with 2005+ Alpine decks. It's 45w rms x 4 that simply plugs in between the harness and the head unit itself.
This should solve some problems of full range speaker amp location. I spoke with the Alpine rep at my local shop...
For those looking for less interior resonance, the Magnaflow (straight through) type muffler is a better choice.
I've always had Flowmasters on my Mustangs, but they drone too much for the rear seat passengers in an Expy imo.
I have a Flo-Pro MAX Stainless muffler on mine, it's a carbon copy...
Yes, I use the low-tack blue painters tape around the trim. You can also lay an old sheet or bath towel across the windshield and cowl area. I keep a damp towel on hand to immediately wipe off any splatter.
