@Fizzy thanks, I'll throw the meter on it tonight but I think I'll be going to Costco soon. Charged the battery overnight and after my commute to work it went back into battery saver mode.
Interesting I did get a message to charge the battery by taking it on a drive. Planning to put it on the battery tender tonight.
Edit battery was very low, my Norco charger considers it dead. How long are batteries lasting for others?
Help settle an argument... Have I lost my marbles?
I've been a way for a week and when I got home I didn't recognize the various chimes (open door, proximity sensor). I sware they changed and now sound like older Ford's like my dad's 2014 Taurus.
@Expymama04 it's a 2022 MY. In my experience pinch protection faults don't stop the glass from moving. It also usually triggers the glass to reopen when it's nearly all the way closed. If it's not moving at all or reopening after only moving a little, there is probably another issue.
@99WhiteC5Coupe had that feature on a few cars. After being locked out too many times when I stepped out to pump gas, I really grew to appreciate Ford's door code.
I have a 22MY SPP Max. I don't see anything in the manual or the settings. It's not consistent but it happens enough not to be a coincidence. It locks as soon as the driver door closes. I'm also usually still close enough to trigger the proximity unlocking, although I have to admit that feature...
Expy likes to auto lock when I walk away, did I get a special secret feature?
I'm at a loss, expy auto locks on occasion (episodes can last for days). I thought I might be hitting the remote in my pocket but it will occasionally do it with key in my hand. I thought it might be my fob, so I...
@LokiWolf good suggestion. Mine likes to hang out on the edge of the road, so much so that it often triggers the lane departure warning. If it wasn't so scary it would be entertaining to watch the systems duke it out.
Ah Man...I'm so depressed. I wish I was seeing these numbers. Max SPP with tow package, usually with 5 passengers. Town 15mpg, highway @ 70mph 21mpg, and towing a TT 9mpg. I just assumed ford put the fuel efficiency bar as some sort of twisted joke.
There a lot of settings that seem to randomly reset. My View seems to reset with every update and some times because I took a phone call. Interior lights have a mind of their own, memory seats randomly seem to select a new position, towing computer sometimes remembers the last trailer and other...
Mine periodically fails to close. It seems like an overactive pinch protection. It always eventually closes but sometimes I have to hold the button down to force it to close. If it's caused by a pinch protection fault it can be resolved by doing a reset.
Edit - I've already had "adjustment and...
Glad I have a 4th gen SPP with second row bench seat. It's a lot easier to find time to go to the drag strip when the 5 kids and the wife can tag along.
To play on the title, I was liking it... And then I looked at the two tone rear hatch. It will be hard pass unless there is an option to color match the middle panel on the rear hatch.
Fixed. I was able to reach the connection at the firewall by removing the cover on the fuse box. There is a small 90° elbow pointed up and towards the driver's side. You can just make out the connection point behind the fuse box in the picture.
The line for the rear window washer fluid, leaving the pump, has disconnected. It's probably covered under warranty, but before I book an appointment, I figured I’d see if I can quickly fix it. Does anyone know if you can access the connection at the firewall without removing the passenger-side...
Overall the Expy is balanced for it's size, but for the price, Ford should have done better. Better sway bars and tires should have been used. I also find the body to have excessive flex. Lastly butt's opinion is that the 22" on the SSP are for looks. 18" or 19" with a stiff sidewalk tire is a...
@joedirt08 sounds a bit like my experience. I have a 22 and it's been rough since day 1. Lots of road noise, vibrations, and unstable handling. I blamed the grabber tires, the large rims, and even assumed it was a lack frame/body rigidity. Turns out it was a factory misalignment and, at least...
Just replaced my front bearings and did an alignment. I owe an apology to the general grabbers. Turns out it wasn't their fault it was Ford's. The truck was delivered pigeon toed and the bearings went bad in under 30k miles.
Has anyone else had bearings fail prematurely on the +22 MY. Seems...
