I did this on a few other cars, figured I'd give it a try on the Expy. Wedged some PVC welt cord between the trim. Just a bit of colour, I think it works.
I've got a 6600lb loaded TT and it pulls just fine. I've pulled heavier loads on flat beds (we don't need to say how heavy they were) and I couldn't tell the weight was there. Biggest factor is the wind resistant and lateral stability of the load. If you're not getting a taller/wider TT you...
Does anyone know if you can recover trailer data after the update. I've lost all my trailers and the records of miles driven. Really sucks I normally review everything this time of year to plan maintenance in the fall.
I went from a '20 Explorer to the Expedition. I have 4 kids in car seats. It was an expensive lesson, never sacrifice room behind the third row unless you plan to leave it down most of the time. The Expy Max has a better turning radius than my wife's jeep Cherokee.
Feel around just past the seam under the bumper and locate the tabs from the cover that slot into the bumper. Keep tension on the cover by pulling on the slot and release each tab one at a time by pressing up on them. You don't need much force at all and definitely no tools.
Would buy again but would also like to see fit and finish improve along with a few added features for families. I miss the in door shades and would really like a kids mirror/camera and mic for the driver to yell at the kids.
I think adaptive driving beam was added in the US reg in 2020 but it's still not equal to the euro system. Govs are slow but it's equally likely the industry is stalling the progress.
In Ford's defense on F250 I've never seen one that wasn't lifted.
@rd618 I have the gap at the top of the cluster and the wavy center speaker cover. Steering wheel is a new issue. Can't even blame usual sun and heat because it's still freezing temp winter, and I don't use the heated steering wheel.
Ford probably didn't build the capacity into the Expy since it mostly sold in the US where adaptive forward lighting system (euro system seen in the video) isn't allowed.
Looks sharp in black. I tried the 722 in bronze but I ended up being convinced there was too much poke for the winter wheels. Might have to try them again for summers if I can sell the OEM 22s.
Happened to me on front and back passenger windows a couple of times. I used to have an amnesiac Saab that needed to do the pinch point relearn almost daily. It was the secret code you had to perform before every drive
Factory crossbars only. Garages around like to use off brand tape measures. Had a few close calls at the top/bot of ramps around lights and sprinkler heads in garages marked between 6'2" and 6'4. The panoramic roof came in handy a few times Now I try and stick to 6'6".
15k km / 9mnths overall happy but would be happier if it wasn't +$100k truck up here.
Issues at delivery: center console door stuck (replaced), front USB not connected (fixed), rattle in driver mirror area (dealer is trying to pinpoint source), rear window seal pinched under trim (replaced)...
I remember to try to set the cruise in traffic today Pressing the cruise ON sets it to 20kmh when stopped behind a car. When I release the brake it brings up the message "stopped" and then auto holds the brakes (I don't have auto hold turned on). When the car in front starts to move it shows...
I'm too lazy to check the part diagram, but is the hatch the same. My max has a weather seal between the roof and the spoiler and the gap is a generous 12mm.
