Exactly - if you lay the clear before the VHT flashes then they still have that wet look to them and don't get as "dull".
If you really want them to look good once everything cures, wetsand with 2000 grit and then use a good polishing compound and buff them out. Then they turn out nice and...
Check out your owners manual for your GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating) it will also tell you how much the trailer can weigh.
If you don't have your owners manual here is a link:

Then you will need to figure out how...
Also mine is a '02 2wd with 3.55's and after all the exhaust work and programmer if I can keep my foot out of it I'm pushin 19-20 mpg interstate driving at 80 mph. Yours would be a bit lower due to it being 4wd but you don't buy a 5,000 + # vehicle for gas milage!
Well for starters the 2000 - 2002 Expeditions with the 5.4L run the 4r100 trans, which is a great trans ( the same trans also backs the 7.3l powerstroke) as for a 5 speed auto swap you will more than likley run into computer issues since they have a completly different shift stratagy.
As far...
Welcome and I have to say I'm a little jealous! I still have family in the Palmer/Wasilla area and the last time I was able to get up there was in '06. I can't wait till I get to go up again, the only bad part is leavin cause I never want to!
Again welcome and nice looking fleet you have!
Belive it or not I use SCRUBBING BUBBLES bathroom cleaner. Works great on running boards and the front valance to get the bug guts off.
Where it really shines thou is getting thru brake dust! Spray it on then recoat, then use a stiff brisled brush and rinse. Everything comes off and your...
Well your link is coming up with "item has been removed or no longer available" and as far as the keys I am going to say that he was just trying to make a sale because there are many people on here that have done the same thing with the stock keys and have had 0 problems.
My 2wd Expy goes places (with a trailer) that some of my buddies 4x4's wont! and they have the nerve to say that the Expy's come in last - I say they need to suck It and go :upyours: themselves!
Unfortunatley I did not get a pic of my buddies Pathfinder that was infront of me, but he was...
I have soooo wanted to do the HID conversion on my Hella's, and now after looking at the write up :waytogo: that is the next thing on my list. Before I wasn't sure if the bulbs would fit or not and didn't want to drop the $ on the HID kit until I was sure!!! THANKS!!!!!
I have also heard many say that it is not possible, and to an extent this is true if you are doing a full out 4" - 6" lift and have the 4 corner air ride.
But since all you are doing is wanting to raise the rear due to the TT in front than I see no reason why it will not work ( especially if...
As far as I know the rear suspension on both the 2wd and 4wd expy's is the exact same. They use the same axle in both I belive the only difference with the air ride rear suspension between the two is the height of the air bag since the 4wd sits considerably higher than the 2wd.
Installation...
Yeah the drivers door has seperate wiring than the rest of the doors, and there is a unlock wire and a lock wire. Here are the wiring diagrams that I got from Alldata, maybe they will be of some help to you!
All of those switches can be changed out fairly easily, with either new or junk yard five finger discounts! Or if you want to be unique then you could do something like this:
http://www.fordexpeditionforum.com/showthread.php?t=136
Either way not a hard job and fairly inexpensive!
Not sure if any one has done it, since alot of people decide to do the conversion. But :imo: the air ride is the way to go, especially if you do any towing!
I wish we could be having 60-70 degree weather that would be nice! We are already in the mid to high 80's down here :flame: I just had to drop down $100 today on the yearly swap cooler start up because the house was at 84 degrees by 1:00 this afternoon! But it was nice after I finished it all...
Get a hold of FABTECH (the fallowing part number is listed for the 2wd but should also work for the 4x4 since the rear suspension is the same) they actually have the lift kits for the Expeditions with the rear air ride. Just tell them you are wanting to purchase the rear air ride 3" kit PART...
You would only need to replace the fronts if you have the 4 corner air ride. Some of the 4x4's came with just the rear air ride, and if that is the case then all you would need to do is change out the rears.
I am having the same issue with my '02 EB except that mine will not lock or unlock unless I use the key.
All other doors work fine and I as well went to replace the actuator and found out that it is good. The best I can tell is there are broken wires in the door ( between the door and the...
