it's not the powertrain that is different.
The HD tow rear differential is a bigger housing/ring gear than non-HD tow. I think it's 8.8 versus 9.75". There are some other differences.
Power is the least important matter with regards to towing capacity.
@LokiWolf Since the HD Tow models lose Active Park Assist 2.0...you think it could be enabled in Forscan if an owner adds the button? Ala when someone adds the trailer brake controller?
I think all the items are there to do it, no?
Unless the corsa has been designed and tested for the ecoboost, it's not going to give you a desirable tone or less drone. Just like you mentioned on the magnaflow. Magnaflow on the ecoboost sounds awful because they designed it for the 5.0 and it just happens to fit the ecoboost f150. I had the...
I can 1000% guarantee anything aftermarket will be louder than stock if you are removing and replacing ANY of the stock resonator or muffler components. I wouldn't recommend it.
the 3.5 ecoboost *does* get better mpg with 93 octane. It runs better too. Noticeably. And the manual recommends premium when towing (where it also gets better performance and towing mpg).
I mean let's be honest. We didn't buy full size SUV's planning on being miserly on fuel. Premium isn't a...
The news hitting the airwaves won't affect Ford, but it'll affect Hertz for having knowledge of a problem, surely receiving notices from Ford, and not getting a critical issue resolved.
Actually, the law is *they* are the ones with burden of proof. They can't just wave a heavy hand and say "Your mod caused it to fail".
Of course, those conversations all require tact and politicking in order not to get the dealer totally ticked at oneself.
Thanks. TBH cruise control in most of my state is useless due to traffic. Adaptive would be maddening to me.
I'll see if I can plug in to the 22 and if anything comes up, but would sure like to get into some options. Mine's an earlier-'22 build.
And secondarily, anyone know if anything like the bambi mode, global window mode, or auto stop/start disable ones on this spreadsheet work?

thx to Livinitup on the F150 page.
@LokiWolf are there any updates to this? Anything adjustable in the APIMs on 2022s yet? Namely adding digits to gauges, bambi mode, stuff like that?
I've been following the brave folks trying to enable bluecruise....
surprised you didn't get a response on this. And I know I'm way late. Anyway, we have an Alpicool 12v fridge/freezer that fits between 'em, is rear hinged, and works great. Has an LG compressor and was ~$350 on amazon. Great deal.
4A is perfectly OK on the street.
Frankly with that much power, sport mode, 4A, traction control fully disabled, and brake boost from a stop is pretty fun, hehehe
It's a theme of multi-link. Lifting via strut or puck essentially 'shortens' the control arms. My jeep TJ is multilink front/rear (solid axle) and the short arm lift kit I installed replaces all control arms with longer, adjustable ones to make up for taller springs.
Honestly this is really no surprise. This isn't a 5-million-vehicle-selling domestic product, and it's not a product with overseas presence. The aftermarket is minimal because even within the expedition sales, it's a small percentage of folks who'd buy aftermarket parts for it. Most F150 cold...
TBH the reason Ford doesn't include a brake controller on these from factory without HD Tow is you shouldn't be towing anything that needs a brake controller without the HD Tow package to begin with, weight wise.
The Ford rep is wrong, and frankly, incorrect in so many ways. First, nothing 'automatically voids warranty' as the rep implies. If the tune adversely affects the engine in such a manner as to cause powertrain failure directly related to the tune, then sure. It's likely to void the warranty. If...
