    picked up a replacement tire and 1 extra for $175 on craigslist. Lucky to get the same BFG A/Ts with no cuts or plugs. one measures 10/32 and the other 11/32. has anyone tried to mount anything larger than stock in the spare location. I dont think it will fit but I havent looked yet either.

    good question there. All of the specs I have seen show that both the 2wd and 4wd have 8.9 inches ground clearance. I have seen the stock 4wd and cannot tell that they are any higher. Now truxxx and readylift both state that 2wd can only go 33 and 4wd 35. And yes, the plates do mount on top...

    If you go to the truxxx website http://www.truxxx.com/photo/thumbnails.php?album=1 they have a lot of photos with different tire size combo's. Unfortunately, they dont always list the size in the photo.

    sorry but the boards had to come off since the drivers side broke after a mishap on the road a few months ago. I hit something that blew in the road on a windy day and cracked it! Cant tell you how many times that happens here in Vegas. The wind can be quite damaging from flying debris...

    mine are 34.5" (315 70 17). When these are done, I'll go to a 35 12.5 17 about 34.8" found this pic on ebay. Its a 4wd FX4 with the 2.5 rough country lift on 325 60 18, same size you will have, rims are 18x9.

    thanks, yes boards are off and it does look higher. I'll be going to a nerf bar as a replacement eventually. I pulled off the factory 20's cause I needed more offset to run bigger tires and didnt want to run spacers. Just sold the 20's last week. Guess I need to update my signature pic too.

    yeah thats a pretty expensive setup for the spare. Its a great concept but I dont like how far it extends from the rear of the truck

    no problems, but the speedo is a little more accurate now. Since its a rear tire, not sure how the vehicle senses speed? If it takes a while to find a good replacement, I may just put the stocks back on but I only have 3 good ones so the spare is getting used regardless!
