I'd save the $150 on the fuel system clean and put it towards a tranny flush. That's recommended at the 50-60000 mi interval. Not knowing if it was done previously, throw the money there. Fuel system can be taken care of with a fresh fuel filter and some Lucas/Seafoam/RXP. MAF sensor is a...
Thank you blackEB, I've been meaning to message you about the 305's. XD Series(undetermined style) in a 17x9 and the 305/70/17 Nittos are on the wish list. Just a little worried about if they'd fit.
My 3rd gen is sitting on a 3/2 spacer kit with factory rubber at this time. Plans are for 295 or 305/70/17's but money is tight with Christmas and all...
Here's the hitch cargo carrier I purchased.

The waterproof bag, also from Highland, is in the "Frequently Bought Together" section of the page. And YES, it is truely waterproof...
Just an idea here, how about a hitch mounted carrier and waterproof bag combo. I purchased this combination and used it for our 4000 mi round trip during the thanksgiving holiday. The carrier measures 60"x20" and holds 500 lbs. The waterproof bag from Highland really swallows gear and...
That one has been on YouTube for a while. Often thought about going to the shop to swap out my MagnaFlow as its just a short 45 min ride from the house.
Mr Clean Magic Eraser followed by ArmorAll Leather Care gel. Seems to work just fine so far. Every six months is just about my routine, a little extra in the summer when we climb in wet from the lake.
I'm with Sol, most of my stuff came from autoanything.com. Latest purchase, Truxxx 3/2 for 100 beans shipped to my door after promo codes and free ship discount. Truckaddons.com used to be my go to place, but that as changed to autoanything. Their deals just seem to be better and the emails I...
Just got back from a test drive with the computer hooked up and the tech and I see spikes and drops on coils 2 and 5. Both are getting replaced under my extended warranty for 100 beans. Hopefully all will be well. The real test will come after I reload the programmer and get on it. With the...
Just out of curiosity, did he mention how many times the RSC was activated during the hard driving? Or was it disabled? I know that on mine when I get a hard lean the computer takes over and kills power to allow me to straighten out. It's a good system but there are times I wish more driver...
Sorry to bring this back from the dead but, still have the issue. Just returned from a 4000 mile round trip for the holiday and she ran great until hitting the mountains of Tennessee. As we were cruising along at 72 mph and we encountered a hill, it would kick to the passing gear and for a...
2008 loaded EB. All of the options less the nav radio. Never thought I'd use them all but I wanted them. After having them, can't think of any reason not to have them, they are very functional. I traded a 05 FX4 SuperCrew and 04 Explorer XLT on the Expy and I wanted everything. Backup...
Improved it using the exhaust, intake, and programmer. Shot it to hell with the 3/2 lift. Throw a hitch mounted cargo carrier, all the luggage and a full cabin of people and gear and I'm struggling to get 17 mpg. Presently in the middle of a 4000 mile journey with the family for Thanksgiving...
Had a FlowMaster 40 series, drone was overkill at 70 mph. I then switched over to MagnaFlow, much better. If keeping with Flow, think about a 70 series, I've heard it keeps the drone at bay.
I switched over to SilverStars on all of my lights. Heck of a lot better over stock, brighter, crisper white light all with the same wattage. Just an idea.
Unscrew the 2 10 mm hex bolts on the top side of the headlight housing and lift the tab over the positioning indent and pull forward. Releasing the pressure pin on the inner fender can be difficult at times and you might even feel like you're breaking something, but she'll come out. Might have...
I've done some reading and you're not the first to mention a lean condition. Here's what I can't seem to put my finger on. Before I serviced the K&N, I didn't have any issues. I could hammer away on the throttle with no problems, everything ran fine. The issue has only developed after...
Yes, be gentle on the middle plastic. No need to bear down, it will show signs of stress. I installed mine back in 2008 and haven't touched the screws yet and don't plan to. Everything has stayed in place so far without issue.
Now you need to add one last pic of the finished product!
Over...
Mine fits fairly flush with the valance opening. It connects via the center plastic strip running in the middle using 2 hooks and a phillips screws. Here's the best shots I have...
Don't know if that really helps at all
For the lower grill, I disconnected the rubber spash guard from underneath and laid on my back and connected it that way. It beat tearing apart the whole grill to get to the lower valance. Remembering correctly, it was a PITA. Try your best to get it on, so much of the lower radiator is...
FlowMaster super 40 replaced at the wife's request. The drone at 70 mph was pretty brutal. MagnaFlow gives a mellow tone at idle, decent sound rolling into the throttle, great sound at WOT and best of all, a bareable drone at the sweet spot of 70-75. You still know its under there.
