yeah thats not so good when i can get 14.5 with my V10 excursion 4x4 in the alaskan mountains. i've seen nearly 18 mpg with the expy before, my prob it i hardly take it on long road trips i always use the bigger truck.
you should be doing much better then that.
honestly the only time i shorten it is on the forums. when i'm actually talking about them i say the full name. people still get confused...i guess that happens when you have almost every ford SUV LOL
best option i have seen is a semi firm flat style flap. i installed some on my excursion. ford offers some that have a ford logo on them also. i would go check the mud flap section of your local napa, O'reilys, pep boys, auto zone..ect
OH MY GOD! i was just in Scottsdale in early January and i cant imagine the HELL it would be if snow stuck to the freeways!!!! :goofy_batman:
i thought the traffic was bad enough as is....(i do really enjoy driving in AZ though :) )
101 loop i think coming up on Indian school road..hard to...
i filled mine up friday night, then drove it this weekend going go drive it a few days this week. i felt bad since it sat about 4-5 days because i drive my excursion more.
i'd say atleast 265/75 R1616 thats what i run on my 4x4. with 8" wheels it made them slightly rub on my mud flaps but plenty of room otherwise. you can prolly step up to a 285/75 R16 without much issue.
the smoked LED factory replacement ones or the truck/trailer ones i put in the bumper? either case it was e-bay, i buy alot of crap off there LOL heads and corner lights, hids..ect ect
thanks guys!
random shot in the snow today
first off welcome!
to your question, you will be just fine. i've towed 6k (a '69 mercury cougar with a big block + trailer) with my '98 5.4 and never had an issue. got up to speed without issue and drove great. i think you will have no issue with the 3V 5.4 and newer tranny in the '06.
i have to replace each of my trucks windshields yearly. we use alot of gravel on the roads in the winter.
i pay out of pocket, i've been able to get them installed for $160-200 and i feel thats reasonable.
ordered some more 194 LEDs. replaced the running board lights and door lights plus the plate lights. made a huge difference!
also bought discontinued silver star bulbs for the turnsignals. love the blueish look when they are off.
